The Reds are just an embarrassment. I know there’s a lot of reds fans here, but I don’t call them the Louisville Reds for nothing. Since I’ve been alive, they’ve been nothing but classless. They’ve got the most on field fights since 2,000. They constantly take unlikable players like Puig or Brandon Phillips and make excuses for their behavior. They never win, but try and turn everything into a **** talking mess or a fight. The entire organization should move. Nothing good comes from it.

Didn’t hurt me Funky. Just think they’re an embarrassment and even if I grew up a Louisville Reds fan ( thank God no, thanks dad) I’d abandon the organization. It’s just a pitiful mess and thuggish. A mix between Cincinnati / Louisville fans. It doesn’t get worse.

Pittsburgh's penchant for throwing at Reds had finally hit the boiling point this season. Can't blame them a bit but it was funny to see dugout yelling lighting the spark before a roundhouse left hook by Garrett. Fun team to watch but idk if Trevor Bauer makes that better. Offense and relief pitching are the issues.

Many of us dislike the Cards, but we don't come on this website to badmouth them.

I’m sorry is this a Louisville Reds message board? Believe it or not nearly half of Kentucky are Cardinal fans. They’re just Western.

And I don’t see what’s to bad mouth about the Cardinals. I guess if you hate winning.

Be honest man, the Reds deserve to be trashed. Part of the problem with that organization is the fans make excuses for their thuggery and don’t call it what it is. Things might change if you did.

The Cincinnati Reds are the first professional baseball team in the world. Celebrating 150 years this season. If there is one team that should never move it’s the Reds.

Are you 12 years old?

Maybe I’m missing something, but have the Reds had a reputation of a dirty team? I can think of three things in my lifetime. Dibble being an *** in general, Molina v. Hamilton and Puig/Garrett v. Pirates.

Are you serious? You guys should get away from Louisville / Cincinnati more.

Yes, they are known as a dirty team.

No I’m 33.

I don’t care if they’ve played since Mobey’s Dick, they should disband. All I care about when the Cards play the Reds is everyone making it out alive so we can move on and play baseball while the Louisville Reds lose and play for next season.

I don’t get him guys.

A friend of mine who’s a Reds fan agrees with everything I’m saying. He ashamed. But here it’s like oh no, the Reds are just a great organization and Yadi has a neck tat!!

I went to Cinci for the cards series last year. Had no issue with the fans, they were very complimentary of the Cardinals. But quite a few of them told me they were embarrassed as an organization. That the ownership is terrible and the antics on the field are embarrassing.

So......... how do you guys feel about it? Nothing to see here? Upstanding players, upstanding organization?

Baseball has a long history. The fortunes of a given team ebbs and flows. Baseball begins with the 1869 Red Stockings - a distinction no other franchise will ever have: The birthplace of the professional sport.

The first professional league was the National League in 1876. And in that long history of the National League one team was the greatest: The 1975-1976 Big Red Machine. No serious baseball scholar even challenges them as the best National League team ever assembled-- the last National League team to repeat as champions.

Every team has its heroes and villains. The Reds "villain" I suppose is Pete Rose -- the greatest hits producer in the game's history. Betting on his team to win games was wrong, and has kept him out of the Hall of Fame.

But I'd rather have a tough local kid who topped all other players in history in doing a singular thing -- base hits -- as my villain than a steroid-addled crybaby who disgraced the game, then boo-hoo-hooed on National Television. Yeah, Mark McGwire is a pretty sorry guy to have worn a team's uniform.

My grandfather was a young guy just home from France when he attended the 1919 World Series. He was a scholarship baseball player and had gotten a hit off Grover Cleveland Alexander in an Army All Star vs. Barnstorming Big League team, so he knew the game. He talked about Shoeless Joe's swing til the day he died -- but always added that the 1919 Reds were a great team and the scandal merely cheated them out of proving it. A close examination proves him right.

My father and I sat through many games in Crosley Field, then eventually got to glory in the Greatest National League team ever between 1970 and 1976. My son and I will have our day as well. Baseball requires and rewards patience.

I've been a baseball fan as long as most anyone on this board, I'd guess, and have a legacy as part of a baseball family stretching back into the 19th Century. Anyone who acts like being a Reds fan isn't a proud distinction is full of ****.

I think you might be thinking of the Bengals. I could poll 1,000 baseball fans and 995 would have zero opinion of the Reds at all, much less that they’re a dirty team. That is all in your mind based on barely recent Cardinals events and their deal with the Pirates.

It’s not that serious. Deep breaths.

Was hoping I could get you going Funk, it’s working with a few others. But nah lots of fans consider the reds dirty. Lots.

Channel your inner Louisville Reds spirit and FIGHT ME

You have a problem with tattoos now? Sure.

Yadi is extremely respectable. He just demands respect back and the Reds don’t have any.
When he's not picking fights surely. I can't comment about Neck Tat other than what I can see on the screen. He was the only catcher to ever take issue with the tap on the shin guards to say hello when leading off a game. The ONLY ONE.

You seriously have nf idea what you're talking about with BP. Phillips smiled and laughed every day on the baseball field, always played hard and was more than gracious with fans. Often the last or only guy to sign autographs and take pics.

Phillips is a POS troll and Yadi wasn’t having it. Phillips is one of the least liked players in all of baseball.

Here we go, excuses. Don’t make fun of Louisville fans

Every article I’ve read has been trashing the Pirates for being the instigators of **** like this constantly (see what Joe Maddon had to say for example).

But sure - the cards fan is right here. Imagine being that butthurt from a fight in 2012(10?) that you’re still posting about it on a message board 7(9?)years later [laughing]

Yea but the Cubs are FULL of thugs. They wouldn’t be able to distinguish.

What’s the title of this thread, for example? Read it to me.

Uh oh. Reds hit a homerun on the first pitch of the game (to them). Hurdle will probably have Winker murdered before the 7th inning stretch.

Hurdle is such a thug. Over under Pirates getting in at least 3 more fights before October?

He tries to get into opposing teams heads by staying inside even when the pitcher has no command of his fastball. He’ll be fired within 2 seasons. I have no clue what his problem is. Ashamed he ever wore a cardinal uniform.

Settle down peeps. I’m just messin with y’all. Trying to get some baseball life going on the board but it’s hard.

There’s been a few Reds players I didn’t like, all in all don’t think about them too much because in my lifetime eh...is what it is.

Favorite player is Griffey, huge collector of him. Went to Cincinnati to a game last year had a blast behind home plate. Reds fans are fun to shoot the **** with.

Think Pete Rose should be in the Hall, total BS he’s not there.

Hope that was fun though, I get tired of the only baseball threads being “baseball sucks”. This was much more fun.
