How Bout Kansas Losing

That's why I never have Kansas winning a Natty in my tournament brackets every year. Seems like they always choke when they are a high seed in the big dance,

While surprising, not a shocker. Kansas did not have to win, TCU did. Good for TCU. I actually think this helps KU in the tourney (not a good thing) to remind them of focus and they get some days of rest.

Josh Jackson being suspended for the game was huge for them. They just don't have enough depth in their frontcourt to lose his length and athleticism.

But no one knows about his suspension for beating the crap out of a car, and a hit and run. A 1 game suspension for that, and it took months before it happened...against a team they thought they would beat anyway. Oh, the horror and shock of it...wait a minute...there wasn't any. To be fair ESPN was going to lead off their coverage with this story yesterday, but the Grayson Allen knotted shoestring video was so popular they went with the replays of it.

I live in the Lawrence area and go to law school in Topeka so I'm lucky enough to be exposed to the fickleness and fragile psyche of some of the Jayhawk fan base. Lots of whining about yesterday, which then switched to lowering their odds of a title from guaranteed to no chance.

I shudder to think what happens when they fall short of a B12 championship; definitely more of this:

Grayson Allen gets all the attention while true thug Josh Jackson gets buried under the rug. Literally every time I've read the article on his 100 incidents, it always ends with "Jackson is apologetic and ready to move forward with his college career!"

You mean the greatest home court in college ball has fans that leave early?
It's also maybe not as well known, at least in my experience, how much animus KU fans feel towards Duke.

While the mutual animosity between Duke and UNC/Kentucky is well documented, the KU hostility is unique (and much more one-sided) in that, at least I personally don't believe, most Duke fans have the nearly the same hostility towards KU as we do UNC/UK despite all three programs fitting the blue-blood mold. Obviously, there's just not as much competitive history w/ KU.

If nothing else, it's a credit to Duke's stature and run of success. Of my friends who are KU fans, I can tell, even when they're finding some way to discredit Duke's accomplishments and boost their own, that there's at least a tinge of envy re: Duke's national titles.

As a Duke fan, it's simply hard to feel hostility towards KU. Successive conference titles, while undoubtedly impressive, don't carry the same weight (nor resultant antagonism from rival fan bases) as national titles.

I agree! Heck when KU is playing U.K. And most definitely UNC, I'm rooting hard for the Jayhawks, but speaking of KU the off-season could get ugly for them with all of these allegations and accusations being pointed at their players. It seem like there's so many allegations against them, it's hard to keep track!

I have no problem with KU, in fact I downright love 'em. We kicked their azz for our first natty in 1991, and in the process denied Roy his first. That's a two-fer I'll never forget. Actually I think you could say we menage a troised 'em since Roy & KU beat Deano and the Heels in the semis to get a chance at us. Yep, me love some Jayhawks.

My hat is off to Self for doing that. Now he probably didn't think it would be an issue and KU would still win but he did it. OFC

Yeah I'm very reluctant to say much more but there seems to be some bad stuff coming down the pipeline per people I'm connected to who are (very) close to the situation.

Whether it surfaces or not remains to be seen but from what I've heard, the Josh Jackson suspension is minor compared to what some people close to the situation are recommending happen (not specifically aimed at Jackson but several players from the way it sounds).

I guess those basketball dorms they added have been a source of numerous problems and go fairly unsupervised.

Yea it could get ugly for them, but what's SO AMAZING is everything has been hush hush. Haven't heard much. U just see bits and pieces of what's been going on there but it gets no mainstream coverage.
