Government has plenty of pencil pushers elsewhere who can do the work.

The laws are on the books. Keep enough people around to make sure the ACOE and state DEPs are enforcing the CWA and CAA. No need for EPA beyond that.

You really could hit almost any agency with a 30% reduction and apply the same level of competitiveness as industry and not lose a bit productivity.

I would be happy if Trump just fired any EPA employee who previously worked for the Sierra Club or other similar groups. Those folks are the ones pushing the more aggressive agendas. Let the EPA be exactly what Congress intended it to be.
