How did we lose so badly to Florida?

Their offense is absolutely horrible. I know it doesn't matter now, and 7-5 is awesome. But I can't help but to think about that game sometimes.

Because their defense is almost as good as Alabamas. I can't help but thinking about USM and Georgia. Oh 9-3 would've been sweet

It is becoming a mental thing for our players. It is almost as if we are beat before the opening kick off. We have learned to accept defeat knowing it will be a blow out or we will lose late in the 4th quarter. That messes with your mind.

We must stop the stupid streak and next year may be the year.

No Snell and Johnson came in very late after the *** whipping was complete. Florida also had a lot of defensive injuries since then.

Del Rio played the game of his life against our defense at a time when we were really struggling.

If he was healthy, UF would have been a lot more competetive in this game.

Bama can make any team look stupid.

What happened to Del Rio? Looks like Fla has went with a new qb.

I believe our defense was still trying to send the message that they didn't care for Elliot!

We didn't know who we were, and we were pups. I am with you though.

Give me FL now, with Johnson and Snell...I like our chances.

Mitch needs to do all he can to undo what CM Newton did and get the Florida game moved back to November. No way the Gators should get by with playing UT, Vandy, and UK before October is over, plus they play Georgia in Jacksonville. And it does us no favors to play them there on hot afternoons in September.

We are not the same team that beat Louisville, that lost to Florida. Florida is not the same team today that beat us. They lost 8 starting players off their defense that played against us. I think we improved more then any team in the SEC from the first game to the last game we played. I hope it carries over to the bowl game.

Re. our loss to Florida, My question would be "at what point in which game did Drew Barker injure his back?"

I dont think this team had developed it's identity yet..i think it took the first two losses for that to happen..turned out good though.

Honestly think second half of southern miss. Possibly on first fumble. Can't fault the kid for trying to play through it though. Given a chance and wanted to prove it's his time.

Florida State beat the hell out of them and dominated them completely.

There's been so many times where we were supposed to beat Florida and just choke it away. The game two years ago hurt vs Florida but the two games that will bother me for years are

1. 2007 Tennessee
2. 2003 Florida

Well several things. I think a lot of it is mental, first true road he, but keep in mind the Florida you saw get run by Alabama isn't the same Florida defense we played against. When we played them I think they only had one starter out.

I also believe Barker was injured on a sack by CC Jefferson and tried to play through the pain. We also just hadn't come together as a team yet. I still think Florida could beat us today but end of the season Kentucky would make it a much closer game. We get them at home next year and it should be our best chance to win in a long time.

That's my point. An injury to Drew would explain the lack of O in the second half of the SoMiss game and the no show at Florida. Those games were/are not representative of this team or its season.
