How do you assess Loggains so far?

As bad as we thought our offense was last year, our scoring is down about 8 points this year. We are also down in almost every other major offensive metric.

Obviously, the one glaring issue is the OL play which has greatly hampered the offense and our top WR has been out all season.

Are you satisfied, though, which the play calling in general?

For me, it's not hard to see how the offense would have been improved if we had a decent OL and if Juice had been healthy. Also, Spencer's play has been markedly improved over last season and seems to be attributable to Loggains.

With all the injuries on offense it is tough to judge, but I do think he has brought something to the offense in terms of QB freedom to make plays and less predictability in play calling. My one negative on play calling is wasting too many 1st downs for losses or no gain with bad play calls.

It is hard to judge based on injuries, but I feel the play calling is more consistent. I feel if we are healthy we have a chance in most games. I didn't feel that way last year.

I would say I don't understand why they ever waste plays running JuJu up the middle. You might as well just ask the refs to take a down away. They did twice that I can recall against A&M. Loggains somewhat deflected criticism a few weeks ago by saying Hardesty controls the RB rotation.

How much of the scoring is related to special teams TDs or defensive TDs? Even huge special teams plays we had last year that gave us great field position that lead to points...we're not getting those this year.

Having said that, I generally like what he's done. And think it will look much better when he has better players around the QB.

It's hard to get any idea on Loggains, to be honest. The offensive line has been so bad, the receivers/tight ends have dropped so many passes, and the running backs generally underwhelmed until Anderson finally got the starting role. It's just been an abysmal year all around.

One way to think about it is to by yards per game. You are right in that points come from defense, ST and the defense giving a short field. So this is one option.

In 2022, we were 72nd with an average of 378.8.

In 2023, we are 79th, with an average of 369.5.

There is the minor difference of the shorter games this year. Not sure if that makes a big difference.

I know Logg prefers a mobile QB. So I’m excited to see what that looks like with Sellers.

I know it's not happening, and it's a shame, but I would love to see Rattler come back for a 2nd year in the system with a healthy Juice and Harbor after he's had a year in the system to go along with Mazeo and...hopefully...an improved OL.

Rat needs to go pro. I'm ready for Sellers.

He does and I'm certain he will. The only factor I could see coming into play would be that this year's QB draft class is pretty deep. He might think he could go higher next. But s he's most likely at least a 2nd round pick this year and given his age, I'm sure he'll go.

I'm excited about Seller's future, but not at all excited about starting a redshirt freshman with essentially zero experience against next year's buzz saw of a schedule. Next year's schedule makes this year look like a cake walk.

You never know what's going to happen when they get grades back. His road splits are horrendous. He's just a different guy on the road.

Home: 96-116 (82.8%) 1,299 yds 10-1 TD-INT
Road: 89-150 (59.3%) 818 yds 2-4 TD-INT

He was actually better on the road last year. Granted, 3 of his 4 road contests have been UGA, UT, & A&M...all difficult places to play. But the Mizzu game was bad as well. You can bet your *** NFL execs are looking at that too. I can't imagine anyone dropping a big contract for a guy that only appears to show up for home games.

It's notable for sure. The team, overall though, has played like crap on the road.

I like what Loggains has done so far. The offense just lost too much from last year. You put last year's offense, with this year's Rattler, and I think it would be very clear that he's been moving things in the right direction. Now though, you have a QB in Rattler that can play at an all-conference level, but he's not got enough around him to benefit from his play.

Sounds about like Carolina football. Fill in one missing piece. Lose 4 others.

The apostle Peter could not help us. There is no OC in the country who could do much better with our line and all the injuries and not really starting the season with a true rb. He has overcome a lot, only to have yet another puzzle piece taken away!
