The only thing that rebuilds credibility is winning. Period.

How does he start winning? Hire a competent COLLEGE OC.

Take that AI crap with a grain of salt. Bama has 4 more games to play, 3 against SEC teams and one against Eastern Illinois, and AI says they are going to be 8-0 in SEC play and 10-2 on the season. That means AI thinks Bama loses to Eastern Illinois.

AI is still struggling a little.

Someone did the dreaded "Muschamp vs Beamer vs Spurrier" comparison via AI, back when it was a positive for Beamer.

The AI attributed a loss to Clemson during the covid year when we didn't play.

I asked AI to show me a custom 1981 Camaro street rod. It was a Frankenstein's monster of every Camaro and firebird ever made. But it'll learn.

By winning more games-specifically SEC games.

Notice every team at the bottom has fired their coach except us, UK and Miss St.
Jeff Lebby at Miss. State is an up and comer. He is in only his 2nd year there. They got lucky he was available when they were looking.

He would also hope/make sure the defense stays solid. We have been really good last year and this year. The first three White years were not very good.

One of those first three years was good enough that White was nominated for the Broyles Award as the top assistant coach in the nation. The defense has not had help from the offense since White has been here. He is, in my opinion, the best coach on staff. It won't be long before he becomes a Head Coach.

After year 3, there was a guy on the insider's forum that was saying he was going to be fired. This guy was right about all the other moves that year but for some reason Beamer didn't pull the trigger on White.

If he were nominated for the Broyles award in those first 3 years, then there must have been a typo. I saw with my own eyes that the defense was not very good but I do agree with you on the offense not helping. We had a top 25 D last year and it would be the same this year if the offense wasn't historically pathetic.

Clayton White is definitely head coach material, but I hope he stays with us and Beamer can figure out the OC situation.

I googled and found that he was nominated in November 2021. We were 44th in Total Defense that season.

He was DC at Western Kentucky prior to coming to USC. He produced Top 50 defenses there. The bottom-line is that he is a quality DC. I think we were not very good on defense in Years 2 and 3. I agree with that. I remember being disappointed in the defense those two years. I think Years 2 and 3 might have clouded what he did in Year 1, thus giving the wrong perception of him. Beamer probably remembered the good job our defense did in his first season here, combined with the Top 50 defenses Clayton produced at Western Kentucky, and consequently decided not to fire him.

I, too, hope he stays with us.

Best coach on staff - We agree on our opinions.

Our D has not been the problem. I've noticed we are a tad bit softer in the flats than we were last year and tend to "whiff" on a few tackles here and there, but fundamentally, we're fine on D. D is definitely not the problem. You are right about him being the best coach on staff.
