Does a random guy hand the player a bag full of cash or get paid through Bitcoin?

It is just as easy as you would imagine.

School wants a certain kid and if they are willing to pay...the school has a "friend" go and pay.

I am sure there are tons and tons of ways to go about it. I doubt it as simple as just handing the player a bag of money.

It is and it isn't.

First once you know the kid or his handlers are in it for cash...it is just a matter of meeting and giving cash. I think we (myself included) like so sort of romanticize it a bit...that there is all this behind the scenes stuff...that people are using dummy accounts and fake noses...

Is it even illegal (against the real law, not the NCAA) for say, me, to give a kid 5,000 dollars to attend NU?

I have no idea if that is some sort of fraud or bribery? It can't be, can it? I have known parents/grandparents that offered cars to their kids if they picked the school close to home and stuff like that...

Well, I think a guy that has a lot of money contacts the football player. Then, they meet at a place that has tables, where the money guy hands the money to the player under the table. :)

Back in the day at NU, you would see loads of players working their summer jobs at various car dealerships in the area. A few also worked the golf cart jobs at cushman. They didn’t work many hours or do anything you could really call work, but they made a pretty good hourly rate :p

Payoffs come in many forms: a job for Mom or Dad, cash, a plane ticket, hundred dollar handshakes, a new car, etc.

I always wonder how student athletes can afford tats and gold chains. If you were poor, would you be spending money on those things?
