How does UK matchup with Alabama next season?

Alabama loses Coker at QB. Drake for sure at RB and probably Henry. A chunk out of their DL. Ragland at LB.

With Gran and Hinshaw added to the offense, and with another year of experience for Eliot on the defensive side, I think this is an upset special for UK next season.

You know the Cats will be chomping at the bit to show Damien Harris the price for snubbing the home state school.

Seriously, do you do stand up comedy somewhere?

I live in Limestone County, AL. If Kentucky were to beat Alabama this year, I would have to move. All my friends would be dead or in deep depression, and I would have no one to talk to.

Well, we do lose Swindle, so we would have to find someone else to pancake that no. 56 of Bama. With last year's line, no doubt would have easily moved the ball against the Tide.

#56 will be in the NFL next year but he'll be replaced by someone with like talent. UK doesn't matchup with Bama but neither does anybody else. They're on a whole different level.

Bama had 5 turnovers vs Ole Miss, anybody can have a bad day. And if they have 5 turnovers vs Clemson they'll probably lose. Bama presents huge match up problems for whomever they play. They're very athletic, fast and physical.

I think you picked the wrong time to predict UK upsets Bama.

Like another guy said...let's beat So. Miss first...

...but I wouldn't look into how many people they're losing...the crew that is replacing them will be just as good if not better...

with that said...the last time we played top ranked bama at their place...it wasn't a total disaster...

you just never know in the SEC...or college football in general...

but I do know this...Gran better call plays to win...every game...

I hope you are trying to make a joke here...Kentucky fans like you--if you are not joking-- need to give up this pipe dream of ever being like Ala. In fb...who else in the country is Ala, but yet you want UK to be?...it ain't happening folks... as a long, long time fan I dream of being in bowl games every year and being competitive every game...give me 7-5..8-4..9-3 every year and I will be one happy camper...

I think if we score more points than Alabama we'll win, if not we'll get beat. That"s how we stack up against Bama and everybody else we play.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

To beat Alabama their new four and five star players must be a lot worse than their old four and five star players and Nick Saban must attend Mark Stoops coaching clinic over the Summer

About the same as Hungary against the Soviet Union in 1956
The same as the Poles against the Germans in 1939

There isn't much relevance to this thread outside good natured discussion about playing Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Do we have a chance? Of course. However, you go to win and let the game dictate the results. As for fans making the trip to Tuscaloosa, this is worthwhile and the fans are generally cordial.

That's a game I'd really like to go to next season, I don't care if we get beat 56-0, it would be worth it to see a game in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

I want Damian Harris to fumble twice and Bama to lose so I can send a photo to Harris that shows the Lexington Herald sports page headline and a quote that says "this is why we're happy you went to Bama".

lol at the doubting Thomases on here, Alabama loses a lot of talent, their defense will be lost without Kirby Smart, no way to game plan for UK's juggernaut offense next year, honestly if Saban can keep it to within a four touchdown deficit, he should be commended. Cats 45, Tide 6. I wouldn't give the Tide the 6 if the game was at CWS. This will be a beatdown of epic proportions.

It's down there right? A snowball in hades actually has the better shot I'd say. The place does occasionally freeze over. At least more often than UK has a team capable of beating 'Bama on their home field. I'm just hoping we can beat Vandy in Lexington.

This game actually really excites me. Going to be making the trip. Excited about going to Alabama to watch a football game. Although it's kinda like going to watch the Titanic movie as the ending everyone already knows. But looking forward to the trip!

The way Cal's roster changes every year I think it's too early to think about this game. I don't know much about Bama yet but if Skal stays and improves his game we might beat the hell out of them.

I guess you meant to ask how does Bama match up with UK because that is the real issue.

Look....if the kids take this as a chance to see how they measure up and play like a team, I'll be satisfied. If you look at UT's season, that game showed them they could play.... and then they manned up complete against Georgia.

There IS such a thing as a 'good loss'....but one by five touchdowns ain't it.
If the Cats stay inside two tds, I'll be satisfied. One TD and I will be ecstatic.
