How is Bobby Hurley not in the NCAA HOF?

NCAA all time assist leader, 2 time NCAA champ but Jay Williams is? Congrats to Battier for being inducted btw.

Bobby Hurley should definitely be in the Hall of Fame but that's not the compare and contrast I would have made. Williams was a national champion, 2-time National Player of the Year and arguably the best guard to ever play at Duke.

Naismith Basketball HOF is senseless. 24 voters with secret identities, given a list of players on a preliminary ballot. I believe everyone selects 3 players. Inductees have to receive 18/24 votes. There’s a lot of controversy about it, both with NBA and college.

College voting didn’t start until ‘06 but Laettner is the greatest college basketball player of all-time. In 2010 he got in, how does he get snubbed for 4 years? Not only that, but there was 30-40 players inducted in ‘06 the first year. David Robinson and Larry Johnson aren’t even in there. How?

The NBA HOF just voted in Chris Webber and Sidney Moncrief this year. I can’t imagine what took so long. It’s laughable that Shawn Kemp isn’t in the HOF.

anyway...
Congratulations to Shane, it’s very well deserved. Bobby will show up eventually, hard telling when.

I remember a game where Quinn Cook was getting ready to break Bobby's # of assists in one game record and K pulled him out early lol. I don't know if he did it on purpose or not, but Cook definitely would have beaten it in that game.
