How long before the left is siding with Assad?

I mean outside of that kook from Hawaii. Really loved the commentary on MSNBC stating this is nothing but a distraction from the Russian investigation.

Kind of a departure from the Dem narrative that Trump would openly defy his Cossack Puppetmaster.

How long? Ooh..until about the first camera lights up in front of a Dem congressman or senator who complains about lack of congressional approval.

Russian state TV said on Friday that U.S. air strikes on a Syrian air base had destroyed nine planes, but had left the main runway relatively unscathed.

The Rossiya 24 channel showed footage of the base after it was struck by U.S. cruise missiles. Craters, debris and rubble was visible, but the main runway looked largely intact.

It was unclear whether the channel was showing all or just part of the base.

Whatever he did or didn't do, snowflakes will be snowflakes. They would've whined.

Have no problem bombing specific, limited targets in Syria. Should have got approval of Congress though. It's not like they would have blocked it; they already said they would support it.

IMO, ruler across the back of the hand is ok. Regime change is not.

No approval necessary. President has full authority to launch that attack. We did not declare war on Syria.

You can work against others or work with others. I have learned in life that you pick your battles wisely. It would have been very easy to run it by Congress, even though it wasn't required, and gain points for showing your ability to work with them rather than saying so what I don't need your approval and dealing with potential backlash, as we are seeing from Rand Paul already.

Rand Paul would be griping anyways. We don't want to go much farther than we already did, otherwise there could be serious ramifications between Putin and his puppet. Wait.. Anyways, I don't see that congressional approval would've mattered much in this case. People wouldn't have changed their opinions.

Timimg and the element of surprise were essential. Congress leaks like a sieve. The strike was both proportional and surgical. Hard to complain that he was wrong and that he didn't take decisive action that sent a clear message to the world.

Replace MSNBC with Fox News, and Trump with Obama and this statement is still 100% accurate

Congress leaks like a screen door. I would do it and then brief them.
