I'm saying 2 for sure. I'm just not sure which 2
.
Loyola is 3-1. Their remaining games are Fenwick, Rita, Leo, Provi and Rice. LA is in, no question.

St. Rita is 3-1. They have Bishop Mac and Marmion left, plus conference games vs MC, LA and Rice. I can't see them not making it in, but it could come down to the last game of the year vs Marmion, and then.........you never know.

Mt. Carmel is 3-1, but who are these guys? Haven't really played anyone but LA, and they were crushed by them. MC also hasn't had their starting QB all year. The only guaranteed win I see left on the schedule is DeLaSalle. That leaves Rita, Rice, Provi and Montini to get 1 win from. They could win them all, or they could drop them all. I'll say MC is in

Providence is 2-2 with games vs Rice, Hope, Fenwick, LA and MC. They need to win 3 of those remaining games. I don't see it happening.

Rice is a very disappointing 1-3 with the heart of their schedule remaining. They will need 4 wins vs Provi, MC, St Joe, Rita and LA. Sorry guys, but I can't see that happening.

This is not the most talented group of teams for the CCL Blue, but I guarantee you the remaining games will be exciting.

I'm thinking everybody but Rice. Provi should be good beating BR, F and Hope.

I think BR can still get in with wins over Rita, MC, Providence and St. Joe/

So the CCL Blue game of the year is PC @ BR this Friday?

Or, maybe LA should fall on its sword and help out the conference?

You know, I got to somewhat agree with you regarding Rita. Last year's win over MA was a last second one! Never take anyone to lightly for sure, but that includes favorite MC against SR.

No way MC is the favorite this week. They are a mystery team at this point. Rita at home......this is a pick em.

MC has pitched three shut outs this year so far and with their best player back MC by 17. Question is does SR score?

Nice try, Chief. Going by Edgy's polls and rankings, MC is the favorite. Rita is a mystery team as well, barely beating heavy underdog Larry.

Pitched 3 shut outs against 3 teams that the DSR panel could beat by 40+ with Edgy as QB 1 running the option. Let's not act like they shut out MS, LZ & LWE. It's a rivalry game and SR is at home. Thomas' 1st game back so possibility for some errors running the option. Every game from here on out in the Blue will be tough and hopefully MC gets to 5 wins and secures a playoff spot.

If Providence does get in at let's say 5-4, they will as usual have a ton of playoff points. They will almost certainly be in the lower 16 team bracket in 6A. If any other 5-4 teams are in this bracket I do not see any of these teams having any more points than Providence, which means the Celtics would not be playing the #1 seed in the lower bracket. I believe the Celtics would be a very tough out for whoever ends up the top seed, not to mention any other team. They will have been battle tested against 7A and 8A competition, and I do not see any other teams likely to be in the lower 6A bracket having a comparable regular season schedule. The present discussion concerns them getting in. The future discussion may be the chances of them making the 6A title game!!

Thomas just back from baseball, all the transfers, untested and the LA game was over in 1st half. Rita has been tested and at home the clear favorite.

I don't think Thomas will be given the keys to the car against Rita...he's rusty and Premovic has been playing well. He will get his snaps and carries, but I see him playing some slot receiver this week as well as QB. Premovic is a good option QB, if he played over Bracewell against LA, it's a closer game...LA still wins, but it's closer. Back to the topic I got MC finishing 6-3.

one of the best ball handlers handling the ball each offensive play. MC team well rested. MC remembers last year. SR coming off PC and SL. Easily MC favored by 6 but with SR home subtract 2.5 (not the default 3 since road teams do ok in this rivalry) and MC favored by 3.5

Is there a question about Alek Thomas' eligibility? I heard you had to have 12 consecutive days of practice before you can play?

Are you f'n serious? Put the kool aid down, MC hasn't proven anything this year yet! And their defense isn't that good to shut out Rita.

I agree with most here, gonna be tough for BR. Not gonna beat LA, and maybe a split between SR and MC- giving them the 5th loss.

They just give him what he wants....Not....12 practices, he participated in some summer practices, plus all last week and this week, he's eligible. Do you think MC would be that stupid to play him if he wasn't and possibly punish the rest of the team?

Summer does not count, only practices from doubles on. I have no idea when he started practicing or if he made any of the doubles practices.

Obvious troll account created by Feeto or privatone to fire up MC. :D

No, just someone who is tired of hearing the MC crap. They beat 3 grammar school teams and get their *** kicked by a real school and the followers think they actually are doing good this year. and I cant wait to hear how they great they will be next year playing in the Jr division. Keep getting cheap wins Lenti.

Then just be tired of it until Saturday. None of these SR MC matchups have been won on this message board. But some of them have been lost because of it. Enjoy the game.

I'll call it now that the winner of Provi and BR will make playoffs. Rice has been in every game this year and a win could get them some confidence and get them rolling. Provi's win against Rita was the ugliest thing I've seen since they blew it against Rita last year. I could see Provi losing to Rice and LA, and beating Fenwick and Hope for a 4-4 must win week 9 game.

MC, Rita, LA will all be in. Loser of PC/BR won't make it.
