A good fit for a bench player at league minimum would be lance Thomas he was waived by the Knicks and is a decent three and D player.

Frank Jackson
J.J.
Brandon Ingram
Zion
Jahlil

That could be a realistic starting lineup at some points in the season.

5 guys I really enjoyed watching. It will get me watching when the Pels play, + I will pull for them to do well because of Langdon's front office role. OFC

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I know there’s people on the board who just flat out dislike the NBA, but seeing a Duke merger like this has to at least make you proud of our guys and the program K has built. Incredible development right here.

Langdon getting rid of that Kentucky concept.

Somebody on FB said it best. Zion goes from playing AT Duke to playing WITH Duke.

I'm going to have to catch them when they come to Charlotte. The only downside is I have to pay money to see Charlotte play. MJ should be giving those tickets away.

Don’t look now but, Seth Curry and Tyus Jones are still available. I am definitely subscribing to nba league pass in October to catch as many Blue Pelicans games as I can.

This is awesome. I'm as excited as anyone to watch the Pelicans next year. If Zion is a true superstar, than they should be legit title contenders in a few years. How good Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball will be in the next couple years are massive questions for them? Their is a wide range for how that could go.

I was reading that if the Lakers strike out on Kawhi, than they will be spreading around the rest of their cap space, and Tyus could be the PG that they target. Would be really cool.

The amount of money former Duke players are making in the NBA is just insane. They could gang up and buy the University. Oh, wait, Coach K already owns it.

Me too.. especially since the Hornets have officially thrown in the towel.

Please be patient and read my entire post before passing judgement as to my sanity. LOL.

It seems to me that mj could careally less about a winner. Letting Walker go sort of proves it. The past few lottery picks have been disappointing. He does however like to make money and fill the arena. Usually to do that the team needs to be a winner but not in the Hornets case. I have said before that Charlotte is full of tar heel fans. It's tar heel country to the max. However ridiculus the following may sound think about it. This roster may take a couple of years to complete but it can be done through trades and giving up #1 draft choices. All NBA teams have a 15 man roster. This team would fill the seats for years to come providing as players retired that the Hornets aquire the necessary players to replace them. The following team is just a start. There are other players available if for some reason one of thelse following players do not want to get in on the deal. 1. p.j. hairston. 2.tyler hansbrough. 3. ty zeller. 4. harrIson barnes. (he could be promoted by the Hornets as an all star). 5. marvin wiliams. 6.danny green. 7. big luke maye. ( home town boy.Seat filler.) 8. nasir little. (could have already had him but will have to give up to get him now). 9.
jon henson. 10. ed davis. 11. justin jackson. 12. kendall marshall. 13. ray felton. 14. wayne ellington. 15. reggie bullock. Now others could fill this roster such as marcus paige , joel berry ect. Now about pt. These guys wouldn't care . They are used to it . It is shared. It's the carolina way. What about injuries. Use the Hornets G-league team the Greensboro Swarm. Greensboro is also full of tar heel fans and if their roster is filled with tar heels it will sell out every game for them also. What about the draft. Keep in mind they probably had to give up their choices to get guys like barnes and green. Sooner or later players will retire and they can be replaced by future heels. Remember they still have that Greensboro feeder system going. Coaches? Out there and available are larry brown, george karl and doug moe. And let us not forget jerry stackhouse who has landed a pretty good job but no doubt would jump at the chance. Gradually the shade of the team colors could change from teal blue and purple to wussy blue and white. Change the team name to the carolina paradise and it's set. It would work. They would lead the NBA in attendance. The payroll would be the lowest in the NBA. :D OFC

Personally i think if Brandon Ingram is fully recovers and is healthy next year i think he has a break out year. Not in lebrons shadows anymore and has a few years of experience. Late in the season he was really started to be a consitent 20ppg player until he was injured. Would love to see him get back to that

Expecting big seasons for Redick, Ingram, and Williamson. Hopefully Jackson and Okafor can be solid contributors off the bench. As of right now, I would say Ingram, Williamson, and Favors are locks to start. The point guard and shooting guard spots are up for grabs imo between Holiday, Redick, and Ball. Right now I would give the edge to Holiday and Redick though.

Which would also hopefully allow him to sale the team do to low payroll to someone who actually wants to win in the league and give the team’s fans something to cheer for.

It’s bad when not one other player anyone wanted in a trade and that includes tar heel great Marvin Williams who makes 15 mil a year and is the second highest paid on the team.

Holiday will start at PG and JJ will start at 2G....almost a guarantee

We should all be concerned over R.J. Barrett’s back for the upcoming few seasons. He is going to be literally carrying the rest of the Knicks to wins during his first four years in the NBA.

But honestly the knicks have some good young pieces. Randle, Barrett, Knox, and Dennis Smith is a pretty good young core. Obviously they were hoping they could land some big free agents to go with them but i believe if they develop these guys then they could have a pretty good squad in a couple years. And then maybe some big free agents will start to join.

the two young teams, I am really excited to watch grow and develop beginning this season are The Sacramento Kings and The New Orleans Pelicans. I really believe both the kings and pelicans join the warriors, lakers, jazz, trailblazers, spurs, and nuggets in the playoffs this upcoming season.
