Work with a man who believes that this will actually happen, He watches YouTube videos that help prepare for it. He is also highly intelligent which just baffles the mind that he could believe this.

The only issue most sensible folks seem to have is the retarded grip angle. I think Glocks are great. But I can't shoot one straight for $1MM.
I can't fire a Ruger LC9, either. Small frame puts the edge of the grip right into a nerve, deep in my palm. Every time I fire, damn near drop that tiny pistol.
Handguns are very personal, hard-to-fit items, in my experience. Finding one that suits your needs and fits you well is a real treat.
I actually like the glock grip angle since it is so low over my hand but I completely agree that the deciding factor for a pistol should be how the individual can shoot it rather than a bunch of fanboy nonsense or stupidity about caliber choice.

I haven't found anything I can shoot like a Glock. m&p was junk to me. Those hk vp9 and Walter ppq's are very nice feeling, but didn't translate to the target. Sig p320 was the closest thing to a Glock that I've shot so far.

Fwiw...since there has been discussion about it, one of my side arms is a Glock 17C.
4, but my favorite is what's now an antique S&W .38 I inherited from my dad when he passed in '86 so I guess I kind of have an emotional connection to it. It is a beautiful piece of black steel with great craftsmanship. It was probably made in the 1920's. It's the one I keep in my nightstand because you know revolver's don't jam.

Similar situation here. Glocks and my hands don't like one another, but the CZ style pistols are a perfect match. I picked up a SAR B6P compact at Buds for "run around on the farm" gun, and it has been an excellent weapon.
It's a very well made Turkish clone of the CZ75 compact with a polymer frame and 13 round capacity, so its light and easy to carry. I've put at least 1000 rounds through it already of multiple bullet weights, with 0 failures to feed or other issues. Accurate out of the box, and under $300 (I paid $269 for mine), so it is perfect for a general purpose car/farm gun.
I will also admit to being somewhat of a 1911 fanboy, but only because one of those was my first firearm, and not because of all the "better platform" debate. Rock solid, and also rock heavy, so those are range guns for me for the most part because I like keeping my pants around my waist when I'm out and about without needing a dedicated gun belt.

I collect pocket knives. Whittaker's is one of the only sho-nuff Benchmade distributors in the entire tri-state area and I don't know where to get them cheaper.

I own a dozen or so. Mixture of revolvers and semi-auto pistols, an AR-15, shotguns, etc.

It depends on what you're talking about.
One gun? Strictly for defense? You need to look for reliability. There are guns I technically shoot a little better than Glock in competition, but Glock is what I carry.
As far as Caliber it matters greatly. A .22 will kill you tomorrow, it's crap for defense. Anything below a .380 is a mouse gun. 9mm is great for magazines and price point, but nothing will put you to sleep faster than a .40 at close range.
The caliber disagreement is stupid, I agree, but not because there's a debate about it, but because people assume way too much on both sides. All powerful hand pistol calibers have a certain purpose and people pick them based on several factors.
There's a few dealers on Gunbroker.com who offer 9 months layaway on orders over 750. They can be a little high, but they can get almost anything.
Just get a 1911I'd feel better about getting a gun that's been out for many many years now, so I think I'll do that. Plus it's 70 less than a gen5 and comes with these sights...
Number of guns going up soon. Ammo is too, have enough to hold off a gang of leftist thugs right now but getting more. Have probably over a thousand rounds when all tallied.
I have the Gen4 Glock 26 and recently bought the gen5 Glock 19. Love the new trigger, but I honestly like the rest of the gen4 better, so when my buddy offered me more than I paid for the gen5, I sold it. Only kept it a month.

I Agree with the Marlin 336 love here. There's something about a lever action 30/30 that's just...fun. Also love my AR, but that's really just for plinking.
