I usually do pretty good until around 3:00 AM and from then until I get up at 7:00 I am awake and asleep several times. Melatonin does seem to help some.
Pretty close to my problem. Start out well, but for some reason I wake up after 3-4 hours and have an awful time going back to sleep.

Kev, I know someone with the problem you describe. Not trying to scare you, and I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like you're getting old.

I'd suggest you check your birthdate and make sure there's still a number 2,3,4 that begins your age. If not, unfortunately it's what I feared.

LOL! I was afraid that's what it was.
It's weird, my mind thinks I'm still young, but my body is telling me otherwise.
I hope all is well with you and your family.

I must be starting to go down that road.. in the last year I've gone from needing 8 hours of sleep onto 7 or 6.5. I'm not super tired when I wake up, but not fully refreshed either. Roll around for a bit trying to get back to sleep, and if I don't fall back, I just get up and start the day.

I usually wake up to pee every 3.5 hrs. I've seen a few doctors about it. They basically told me nothing was wrong and to not drink so much water. I actually drink the recommended 8 glasses per day.

I've now started guessing what time it is when I get up, then looking at ththe clock to see how close I am. I'm getting really good at my game.

ambien works great for me, but I also use trazadone, melatonin and somnapure (natural) You have prostate problems. BEWARE, that crap can kill you, from the stress of blocked urination, even if it's not cancerous.

I can hold my pee all night, but falling asleep is a *****. I suffer from irritable leg syndrome and can't lay them still, sometimes most of the night. It's apparantly becoming more and more common.

I developed that in the last year. Feels like a cat jumps up on the bed and constantly walks around the foot of the bed. I thought it was a ghost cat before I learned what it was.

I have to go about every three hours and three days ago bought a "toilet light" so I don't piss all over the floor anymore. Works great. I wish I had invented that.

I'm almost 57 and I don't have to get up to piss. Long as I don't drink a lot right before bed I'm fine.

Two things, 1) I am so good at guessing what time it is when I wake up! I feel Ike it's a skill(it's not).

2) I drink a lot of water a day and keep a bottle by the bed. There's no such way I can properly hydrate and not piss at some point in the night.
