How many others are dealing with "mushroom" friends?

Just being curious if anyone else is having the same problem I am with all my "mushroom" friends.

I have a customer/friend of mine who owns a well known liquor store. With the release of the latest UK bottle tomorrow, my mushroom friends have been blowing my phone up.

Knowing I never have to wait in any lines, get my bottles usually before most others, all my friends that I rarely hear from now all want to talk. Happens every time a bottle comes out.

Just curious if anyone else gets blasted with calls wanting the new bottle.

You should probably define mushroom friends, never heard that term? Suggesting you have ****** friends?

I don't ask but my SIL always gets me the Makers Mark bottles when they come out - at least since Cal has arrived. I can't remember which one it is but one of them it worth almost $200 last time I checked.

Have you ever went out in your yard and out of no where is these mushrooms that just pop up?
Thats what I call friends who just pop up when they want something.

I called one of my daughters ex-husband 'boomerang" all the time. One day he asked me why I call him boomerang. Told him that every time my daughter gets rid of your *** you come back.

Got one of my part time workers who I call "blister". He made the mistake of asking why I call him that. Easy; told him he only shows up after the work is done.

Just a thing, naming crap that aggravates me. Helps me from saying something I might regret later.

Apparently mushrooms that you eat to get trippy on have an effect on heroin addiction. If you eat shrooms you can get off the heroin . Look it up

Seems like the mushrooms would have to pop up upon the occurrence of a triggering event for your analogy to work, no?

Pro tip when dealing with these "friends":stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::

Don't take a dump and if you do, don't look in the mirror when washing your hands.

happens all the time. Friends and family. I work at a hotel. I'll go months without hearing from someone and then all of a sudden I'll get a "hey can you get me a room?" text.

They are not your “friends”. Just acquaintances. Treat them as such.

OP seems like a drama queen. Naming all his friends and co-workers weird terms no one uses. Can only imagine what your co-workers call you. Your friends only seem to use you so prob not "friends."

You know... phones have this weird feature where you don't have to answer them. It's called not pushing the button.

My college mushroom friends and I once walked a mile to a gas station at 4 a.m. to buy orange juice and a few packs of cigarettes. We forgot to take money or ID. Left the store empty handed and laughing uncontrollably.

I'm glad I survived those days.
