33 and mostly work related. I've had some good meals at some really good places, but none on that list.

49. Alaska will be 50.
You won't be sorry. People can tell you all different ways to do it, but those 7 days cruises take you places you can't get to otherwise except by plane. Glacier Bay is a sight to behold. Tacking on 3-7 days on land is excellent either by cruise company or on own. We've done it twice.

I'm somewhere around 20. I need to see more west.

My neighbor has a 20 year old Honda Gold Wing that he bought new. It's actually his second one. 10 years ago he was at almost 100k so there's no telling how many miles are on it now. He used to take a 2 week ride every summer by himself. He hasn't just been to every contiguous state, it's nearly impossible to name a park or landmark he hasn't been to. Guy is a walking Google maps to talk to because every trip is meticulously planned to avoid interstate and see as many towns as possible. He's had some health issues but still does multiple day rides on a regular basis.

I have flown over a bunch. I've been to Washington state but it was a direct flight from Nashville.

It did annoy me when the pilot came over the PA to tell us we were flying over Yellowstone. You looked down and it was just trees. He could have said it was the Amazon and I wouldn't have known any better

Yeah places like Arkansas, Nebraska, Kansas offer way less than the natural beauty of West Virginia.

I’ve been in 45 states but I can’t say I’ve seen all of them. You can whip through states like Vermont and New Hampshire on a road trip very quickly and never stop.

Eh unless you left the airport it doesn't count. I've been to the Memphis airport, didn't get to see Memphis. I mean if you fly to Europe and have an hour layover in Iceland, you really gonna come home and talk about your visit to Iceland?
Nope, but I will accurately say I have been in the country of Iceland.

40. Missing NV, UT, DE, CT, RI, VT, NH, ME, HI, AK. I knocked off MT, ID, KS, and CO on a road trip from KY to Yellowstone and Grand Teton this summer. I plan on hitting the majority of the northeast states on next year's trip.

Define legit spent a day or two in. I went to numerous states in college with the athletic teams and all we really did for the most part was play some games and eat. Does that count?
