Why is it wrong to declare "war" on Islamic Terrorism? I can see the "be nice to Islamic Terrorism" campaign hasn't stopped recruitment and/or attacks.

Re-read the post carefully. You do understand there is a difference between ISIS and Islam?
Let me put it in a context you might understand. We don't want to declare war on Christianity (Islam). We are not trying to alienate Christians (Muslims), we need their support. The President has declared war on The Army of God (ISIS).
As I posted to the eye glass fitter, no one wants to declare war on all of Islam, that is a strawman argument. We are all talking about radical islamists like ISIS and Al Qaeda.
Using his logic, Obama erred when declaring war on ISIS since more people will join ISIS because we did so.

Please, that idea has absolutely no credence. A fully 35% of muslims agree with the position or stance of the radical muslims. I can't site the study but it's out there. Radical muslims hate the west and if 35% support the Caliphate, you are delusional if you think that they need a recruiting enticement.
I have agree that as of right now, why not? we can adjust later. The first job of our commander in chief is to keep us safe. Letting in possible terrorist isn't doing right by the American people. So we put off immigrants for a year, what's the big deal?

A large number of Muslims support ISIS. And remember, ISIS is Sunni and almost by definition Shia Muslims will hate them. I think overall Muslim support for terrorists like activities is pretty high across the Muslim world and a big problem for the West. Somehow, someway, moderate Muslims will have to retake control of their faith through some sort of reformation.
