How much do first round picks help recruiting?

Yes, first round picks should help recruiting. However, a lot of factors go into it. For instance, there is a school to the East of Nebraska that has had a couple first round picks recently, but they still do not recruit very well because of a history of racism, abuse and mediocracy.
