Would be odd for Brown, a top 10 freshman and projected lottery pick, to be cheaper than Lowe. Brown got a lot of money from Adidas to be sure.
Lowe and Oweh are probably each 3M
Brown and Conwell are less than 6M in my gut feeling
It makes sense for Oweh to get a high number given his lofty expectations. I dont put Lowe in that class.

I know family of a kid who signed out of a Juco with a small Southern Conference team. He will make $25k and has perks like a free membership to a country club. That is a far way from an elite program. I suspect some on UK and UL are making a ton of money.

He wasn't all that good in the other two games prior to UK...We just played terrible defense and let him shoot wide open shots and let him get to the rim at will...we don't have a rim protector right now...JQ would've swatted or altered most of those shots around the rim...Brown will never have a game like he did against UK cause most teams will actually guard him lol

You still have to Coach them and put them in a position to maximize their talent but it does bring you better basketball players if you can evaluate correctly.
It shouldn't be much harder to evaluate College guys vs HS players. Probably easier. Agents let it be known who is available at what price.

UL had one more 3 for the game. The midget had them ready to play. Their defense on us was outstanding turning us over 14 times. They had 20 assists and only 6 turnovers. They were the better prepared and the better team.
We all know how hard it is to keep a big lead when you’re dominating the opposing team as they were us.
If you dig a little deeper into the books, you’d see $11 of the $22 million was spent on licensing “Boom” gifs.
In Louisville’s first game Brown only played 18 minutes and scored 11. In game two he played 26 minutes and scored 18. In the exhibition vs Bucknell he played 27 minutes and scored 28. Finally against UK he played 33 minutes and scored 29.
This is fact. It’s closer to 15 million total than it is 22. And no JQ didn’t get 4 million and neither did Oweh. People throw out numbers and “journalist” run with it without any fact checking these days. Also Pope and UK offered more to some of the top recruits than the schools they actually went to. Can’t do anything about that.
PG is our only soft spot IMO but if we adapt we will be fine. The potential is there with this team, just have to execute and tap into that potential. Mindset and buying into your role is vital for that potential to be reached.

If Lowe is out for more than a handful of games which I don’t think he will be then yes we will need others to step up. Aberdeen can play the point but we’d need JJ to give quality minutes and Oweh or Chandler to adapt into that role for half their minutes as well. With the latter we’d need to go small ball for the offense to operate effectively.
My point was the numbers being posted constantly aren’t accurate and our staff did offer other guards substantial money and they chose elsewhere. Not sure the issue here. Can’t force a kid to come, just offer your best offer and give your best pitch. This is uncharted times and we are UK, we will adapt but it’s not overnight.
Facts! I believe rules will be implemented on NIL sooner than later. It’s the enforcement I worry about.
There seems to get a perception that we are the only ones with cash. You can’t pay each kid top dollar and just pick who you want. I’m not certain we even have the most money to offer as there is no public accounting.
