It's a fact Stud, not a defense

Move on then. Facts are facts. What part is defending a statement of truth when it’s not an opinion? I’m not happy at all
With the situation in Iowa city, but how in the f- - - does one of the most storied programs in wrestling not get help from its university. Up until this year men’s basketball should have been getting nothing with that knot head coach we had before.

Bob,

How does our Athletic Director, Beth Goetz, defend giving $0 in rev share to Iowa wrestling?

Just so that we are on the same page, it sounds as if neither Iowa nor Penn State wrestling has revenue sharing.

That's not correct.

The Penn State wrestling program got $1,449,766 from the university via revenue sharing.

one thing I think is clear is that we need transparency on how the U of I is allocating rev share. It should be required that this information is disclosed publicly for our public universities

Early models suggested football programs would receive 70-75% of the revenue share, with men's and women's basketball receiving a significant portion of the remainder. I agree with you; I think all universities should be required to do what Penn State did & disclose which programs got what amount.

When it comes to what individuals get paid, that does not get disclosed because athletes are not considered employees. Iowa QB Mark Gronowski was RUMORED to be getting paid $1.3M (as one example).

So, was the rumored 1.3mil for Gronowski all from univ rev sharing or was some from a sponsor/donor?

Not sure if some came from rev share or if it all came from a booster. And with a tough schedule, Iowa still only ended up 9-4.

Miami's QB earned a minimum of $4M; with incentives, he could have earned up to $2M more. Miami made the national championship game so he likely earned at least $5M.
