He said in response to dropping the MOAB that the military has done more in the last 8 weeks than it did during the last 8 years under Obama. When will this ridiculous, juvenile behavior end? He also said that we have the best military in the world. Of course, during the campaign he said our military was weak and feckless. And he knew more than our generals. I'm impressed that in 8 weeks that he's been able to completely revamp the military and make them strong and effective again. Impressive stuff!

I can tell you having him in office has improved morale in the military more than anytime in the Obama years.

He following eats this stuff up though. It's all bs rhetoric. All of a sudden, we are winning again. The China summit was a success.....yet nothing's changed yet. We've done more than Obama did in Syria and Afghanistan because stuff blew up on tv. Sad to say, but this is how politics in America work. Perception and tone. And now he's eliminated the credibility of the media in his followers minds.....both are set by those loyal to the administration.

And didn't we just kill 18 friendly Syrian soldiers? Did the Moab destroy the complex?

Wrong. The military is made up of a diverse cross-section, just like society. Some like Trump and some hate him. Some liked Obama and some hated him.

As a public service to you RPJ I will attempt to translate this "Trumpspeak" for you.

In response to the MOAB that in and of itself constitutes the validity of his statement. Obama never used it, (we had it) Trump did. Enough said.

We have the best Military in the world. Yes we do, and Trump believes it, and he is willing to both allow them show off what they can do, and support them being able to do it...thus his proposals to build them back up rather than sequester them out of existence.

He said during the campaign that the militray was "weak and feckless" but he was specifically talking about the way they were being underutilized which made this statement true. He wasn't attacking them RPJ, but their Commander-in-Chief who didn't know how to use them, and in many cases refused to do so limiting their rules of engagement and restricting their ability to fight after sending them into harm's way.

He didn't claim to "know more" than our Generals in terms of how to fight and doing their jobs, but he knew better how to use them and how to let them do what they do best. Big difference here RPJ! Again, Trump was NOT not attacking them, but how they were being managed.

He hasn't completely transformed the Military, but he has in the short time he's been in Office changed the attitude, the culture, the respect, and attention they deserve and require. He repects them, and lets the Military leadership know there is a new Command-in-Chief in charge who respects their ability, power, and potential to do good for America.

He's letting them know they now have a friend instead of a disdainful opponent of their existence & mission as he believed they had under the previous Commander-in-Chief.

Dismiss what I'm saying if you wish, but the Military folks agree with me, not your take on what Trump has said about the them.

Two answers ... no the juvenile behavior will never end. He's 70 years old, this is who he is.

You sure? China turned away N.Kor. coal and changed their stance with the U.N. Those are just 2 changes we know. You can throw ******** out there or be taken seriously. Your choice, you don't have to be right, but you may want to at least support your stance. Never mind, keep posting silly ****; it has entertainment value.

Someone outside the military telling someone inside the military how the military is. Gotta love it.

I'm not saying it wasn't successful. I see our relationship with China as critical, and I think Trump handled the summit well and with Professionalism......but I'll wait to see things change before I call it a success. Leaders say a lot of things, actions matter.

Anyone who thinks the military thinks alike has never served. And take your cute little quote and apply it to Trump? lol Never serving and avoiding serving are two different things. Dropping bombs ain't a strategy.

boomer your criticisms of Trump are no less egregious than the Left's boasting during the Obama years...only their pronouncements were flat out lies!

Syria "destroyed" all of their WMDS. Really?

Iran "gave up" their pursuit of Nukes" Seriously?

The Benghazi raid was because of a disgusting "internet video" in the wake of an "Arab spring" Puhleese!

There was a "reset" with the Russians...then they invaded Crimea and annexed part of the Ukraine

We "drew a red line" in the sand over Syria...which they crossed time and time again with impunity

Our "shovel ready" jobs weren't so "shovel ready" Tell me something we didn't know?

and the worse boast of all "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Premiums will go down on average 2500.00 a year" We're still waiting for the benefits of THAT bold prediction.

Say what you want about Trump and the perception vs the reality...but there is more backing up his boasting than Obama's flat out lies.

Yeah, but China can't be trusted to keep their word ... or at least that's what we've been hearing for the last 8 years regarding their promised changes to CO2 emmissions ... now all of a sudden their word is gold and everything is implemented as soon as they walk out of a meeting?

Of coarse you can't trust China. Did some dumbass suggest such a thing? China DID turn back North Korean coal and DID change their usual veto with the U.N.

But they have moved troops to NK's border and 20 subs in the area. Risky weekend.

Interestingly Obama was thought to be weak on ISIS but he was pounding them. IMO Obama wanted it kept on the down-low so not to infuriate Dems. Trump broadcasts everything as it plays to his audience.

I think Obama thought it was sad that anyone gets pleasure from death, and didn't want to be a part of the glorification of the horrors of war.

You can't convince me of that when he argued for increased funding of abortion on demand both domestically and overseas. So if they aren't killing those unwanted Babies, what exactly are they doing to them?

Guess those precious innocent little Black lives don't matter to the vast majority of the Left huh Boom?

I am not wrong. The majority of the military did not like Obama. Now we know we have a commander in chief that will allow us to do our job and not have to worry about transgender or homosexual sensitivity training.

China is opposing defensive missile systems in S. Korea. You confident about that change?

Not confident at all. But China has publicly made gestures that have been sought for decades. That's CHANGE. Not only have they turned back coal, now they are cutting oil going to NK. That's CHANGE. A big hurting is being put on his people. You don't just retire to a beach house in that type of regime. You die. My hunch is crazy will happen there soon. God help us all.

I agree. Partisanship aside....another Korean War would not be shook and awe, and would be long and incredibly bloody.

You really think so boom? I suspect if hostilities break out, they'd fold like a cheap suit. They can't even feed their troops. No soldier is going to fight hungry.

We have DRGs for them (Dogs ready to eat). They'd rather eat than fight!

I wasn't worried one bit about them I don't care what someone does in there personal life. The problem is that we have to have special training on how to treat the individuals instead of using that time to perfect our jobs.

I respectfully disagree. I don't think their troops want any of us. They'll defect just to get food and keep from being annihilated.
Not true at all. They'll die of starvation before they defect.
