Perennial Top 10 team Rutgers is having to resort to BOGO to get fannies in the seats.

Maybe they should just make parking free instead of charging more than the price of a ticket for it. And what about the poor schlumps who paid full price?

Let's see how full it is for the dual Friday against Oklahoma I have seen a bunch of people say they didn't renew. And with individual seats $112 I don't think the crowd is gonna be the same as it has been in the past

Of all of the things to bag on Rutgers for, their wrestling attendance isn't one of them. Their home attendance consistently outdraws stronger programs, and I have nothing but praise for them trying to raise the attendance at the Hoagie House.

I don't know where anyone is getting the $112 figure. Maybe it's single dual sales or maybe it's resale. I'm a season ticket holder and have four BJC seats in Sec. 123L, second row. They're $55 face value for Oklahoma.

Their attendance has been steadily declining because of, in significant part, I think, the astronomical price of parking. What used to be free is now more than the full price of the tickets they are trying to sell at half price. So parking costs more than double the price of the tickets one is buying in this promotion.

and they still outdraw stronger programs like Minnesota, Nebraska, & Cornell. It will be interesting to see if the new BJC pricing has any impact on our numbers.

The BJC pricing definitely will impact ticket sales. I have purchased 8 additional tickets for every BJC match since Cael Sanderson was coach. Zero additional tickets for the Oklahoma match. I will be surprised if the arena is at 50% capacity.

Wait until you see the new pricing for Beaver Stadium. My friend had 4 seats every season. He told me no way after he saw the new prices.

When I went to buy a seat at the presale for being a contributing member to whatever it was that qualified me, the cheapest seats were $112 per.

Not with a $39 parking fee.
Ouch! Time to leave the car at home! 😀

I got three pieces of advice that never left me from old guys when I first moved to CO in 2007.
1)Work is precious. Save some for later.
2)If the minimum wasn’t enough, it wouldn’t be the minimum.
3)Avoid an assignment to Schriever at all costs.

Having been stationed at Fort Drum, Schriever is a paradise.

I’m not a season ticket holder for wrestling but I am for football and a NLC member since 1978. In the past I would sign on first thing for the NLC access for BJC tickets for wrestling and end up in the upper deck and sometimes with my back against the wall. Then I found out that they were allowing season ticket holders the opportunity to buy up to 8 additional tickets at $30. I’ll gladly pay $112 to sit where I can actually see the match.
