How will Horton fit into this offense?

He will fit in better with our new Pro Style offense. Dawson's run schemes sucked even though they were fairly effective with our sucky OL. A big back trying to run out of the shotgun is not easy.

They were effective up the middle because our interior offensive line is actually pretty good. It's the tackles that struggled this past season.

I think he'll do just fine though. Has nice hands for a back, especially a big one. Think he could be used in some unique ways.

You guys think we could see both Boom and Horton in the backfield at the same time, either split or in an I formation with Horton playing the "fullback" spot?

If he doesn't rid himself of his major fumble problems he probably won't see a lot of time anywhere. Has some talent but his fumbles cannot be tolerated.

I hope he beefs up and moves to FB personally. He isn't quite the power back I'd envision himself to be...and he is sort of slow to accelerate to me.

I love his size and his attitude. How will he be used in this offense?
Hortan can be a load , but he needs a step or two to get rolling. If he gets through the hole look out; if not he's too straight up to be a punisher. He also has great hands, and runs good patterns out of the backfield. Might pay coaches to check his highschool tape out.

As our third string running back. And a good one. Maybe the best in the league. 5 or 6 carries and pick up blockers on pass protections. Takes plays that will make jojo and boom better as the game and season goes on.

He is a good back. He had a significant injury to his hand in the UL game and this affected his ability to secure the ball.

He may need to fight for any spot he gets on the roster. He better not assume he is third string.

I can see it now:

Coach: "Horton, see that linebacker who keeps playing spy?"

Horton: "Yeah."

Coach: "Run that sonuva ***** over."

Horton: "Ok, Coach."

That about sums up what I'm expecting.
