Nice comback win. Team can build off it. I enjoyed seeing it.
1. Would like to see some option/zone read packages for Crest next season. He would be a nice change of pace and especially on short yardage. Glad he got a reception- nice moves after the catch.
2. Is Wendell staying? He'll be a beast next year.
3. Glad to see Jennings and Sills get receptions. Jennings looks like he will be a great player for the next 3 years. Sills hopefully will get a shot a QB in Spring but with his ability, WR seems like a great spot for him. Reminds me a bit of Jeff Samardja when he played at ND at WR.
4. K.White - glad to see he got the start. Kid is a baller. We will have a nice receiving corps next season!
5. Skyler - like his leadership, still needs to make a few better decisions and ball security. Not sure his accuracy will change but he is what he is. If he can cut down on turnovers, I think we can win with him and the occasional use of Crest in the option/zread.
6. We need new linebackers to step up. We have them on roster but Preston and 17 need to step up.
7. Really need to work on KO and Punt coverage. It sort of disintegrated over the last half of the season.
8. Need a punter. Old 91 stepped up last nite and hit some nice ones when we needed it.
A bowl win is a bowl win. They're never easy and I'm going to enjoy this one. Yes, the kids made some mistakes but overcame them, and that last drive was a great momentum builder going into next season. Congrats Mounties.
