Ruling the FVC. To be politically correct, that's like being the tallest little person.
CG is definitely clicking on all cylinders now but I still don’t know if they’re good or just not playing good competition.
When do you play:
* The 10A Huntley Red Raiders
* The 9A Naperville Central RedHawks
* The Defending 6A champs - PR
Think you will know one way or the other with those upcoming games!!
Huntley next week, toss up. PR week 8, I think CG wins. NC comes to Cary week 9, not feeling good about that one.
What's interesting about Cary is their starting QB from last year missed game 1 due to baseball commitments, he's got a ride pitching and will probably be a draft pick, and now he's at split end. Looks like he's going to stay there because the backup is killing it. Having this kid at end is going to be a weapon in their back pocket with a deep, speedy backfield. 10A Huntley will be a good test.
Huntley next week! I would be most interested to see how that turns out!
Yeah NC in week 9,... I hope you guys have very well developed multiple coverage schemes and multiple blitzing packages or it could be a long night on defense at least. I think you guys put some points on the board against them and maybe try and get long grinding drives to limit NC’s time and number of offensive possessions and try and keep them from getting into a groove. There is always a path to the W!!
CG has never really defended the pass well. That's going to be a tough one.
Yeah - that is probably going to be an issue. The NC Coach is sharp and puts together great game plans with the talent he has. If he thinks CG is vulnerable to a passing attack.... well.... you can probably guess what’s coming. Plus I think they have put up over 300 yards thru the air in each of their first 3 games........
Too bad there are no bye weeks in HS. That would be a perfect time to have a Bye week so you have two weeks to put in some team specific stuff to prepare for that.
DeKalb destroyed their defensive backfield in the 2016 playoffs. I know it's a different team, but same scheme. Like you said, hopefully CG puts points on the board to keep it close. But then again, it's only week 3 and that's week 9. We'll have to wait and see.

All teams should just be looking at their week 4 game. So for CG,——Huntley week 4 should be the only thing they see and hear!
But the beauty of just being a fan in the peanut gallery is that we can look ahead and pick apart the future schedule etc etc. I love doIng that. We just did it for OPRF in another thread.
