The transfers happen and it’s what it is. With my team South Iredell they just have to play with homegrown players and do the best they can. If you can’t beat them join them. With my conference it’s either Mooresville or Lake Norman. They will be the ones who represent to see who wins the conference. Then when playoff time comes then pick the team you like the best. lol
I do know of 1 that gone to LN from SI as well but No post has been made publicly yet.

I guess Mooresville has the idea of if you can’t beat them join them in the recruiting world.
The HS portal is real and its not going way folk ik some hate it n ik many talk about No loyalty n such which i agree there is none no more but this is how it is now days and we have to change bc U see it at ALL LEVELS!

Southeast Raleigh OL is transferring to St. Francis in Maryland. Played at Rolesville his freshman year

I like majette. Williamson had a solid freshman season, even took that senior qb job as a freshman. That’s a good problem to have for Dudley, maybe they both won’t stay

This is crazy. I remember when kids would transfer it was all under kept quiet and under the radar so as the transfer period would come and go. Now its just out there. If I was in NC and a head coach again I would just post on Instagram hey here at High schoolX we need a new LB. If interested hit me up. I would have a booster that gave me $$$$ to get these kids and I would offer the parents cash$$$$$$$. I think this board needs a segment for just transfers. Bring out the table with the hats of the new school and let the players them pick their new high school and put it on here. Call it the day of new hats. Coaches could get all dressed up and live stream it so everyone could see. Everyone could thank God and show off new bling. I think we are missing an opportunity here. Or better yet lets just pass all of this stuff and have 16 super schools in NC. One is Asheville area 3 in Winston/Greensboro area, 4 in Charlotte and 4 in Raleigh Durham area 2 in Fayetteville and 1 in Wilmington, 1 for out east 252 area. Call it the super duper 16 league. Let the best players of those areas go to those schools(Kind of like an IMG league for NC). Call the rest of the schools the public league and play in their own schools. Each will have league will have its own playoff.

Just saw the one about MT Airy QB transferring to East Forsyth. Which has already been mentioned above.
Has anyone mentioned about Page getting a good QB transfer from Eastern Guilford. A 2027 graduate. Has 2500+ career passing yards and over 600 yards rushing as a Jr. Has 15 rushing TDs last year.
I'm sure that's coming soon. I know of schools that do the 8th grader signing day. This HS portal is more embarrassing than college in many ways. I know one QB that played at 3 schools in 4 years!
I'm hearing some people in Wake County are upset about a social media post from Millbrook encouraging people to transfer there. It will be interesting to see if WCPSS has any power to do anything about the transferring. I know districts have different policies on this, but there are several schools in WCPSS that are capped due to enrollment numbers. Seems like an "equity" issue to me. Student A can transfer from the western side of the county to the eastern side of the county, but student B cannot gor from east to west because of the enrollment cap. I just wonder of the BoE will get involved now that this stuff is so out in the open.

That’s funny bc all the page fans can do is whine about the transfer portal. Not a peep when it benefits them. Maybe they’ll only lose by 5 touchdowns to Grimsley this year

I've never been a fan of transfers. I still am not a fan. I don't think its good for High School Ball and I don't think NIL is good either...... But it's inevitable and it's going to continue to be a thing. So, might as well play the game and try to use it to your advantage...

This gave me a good laugh. I think you are right - at least about Wake County doing nothing. Jury is out on whether or not I like it. I'm all for adapting with the times but this seems crazy. Especially because I'm not sure how much of a stretch your earlier post is.
I think I am close to being on target. I say those things happen within 8-10 years
