That would be great lmao. I was kind of thinking that earlier. I wouldn’t even be that disappointed. If he doesn’t come here I hope he goes VT.
I feel that Bo would be the best of the athletes to get right now.
1. He’s p4p, one of the best wrestlers in the country, maybe competitive in the world
2. He’s got a great attitude
3. He’s a leader
I know there is discussion between who we would rather pick, but his attitude and leadership alone, set him apart from the others. When you recruit a good wrestler, you recruit a champion. When you recruit a great leader, you recruit a team championship.

What this kid has done with getting attention to his commitment is brilliant! Definitely a smart kid and a really really good wrestler. Penn State, Iowa, OK State, and VA Tech fans are all hoping that he picks them. If they say anything different, they are liars. Looking forward to hearing his decision tomorrow!

So you think CR, with DT’s approval, just dropped a record setting NIL deal for Bo? That’s my only point. I’ve not yet heard a single person say he is involved with our NIL while the public perception is we have a billionaire funding our NIL.

Will he at some point? Who knows? CR is an extremely erratic individual. Predicting what he will do next week is a fool’s errand let alone years down the road.

No I do not. I’m just saying that at some point I do think he will dip into the NIL game.

What he is doing is helping to fund the RTC post grad opportunities for our athletes which is a big selling point to recruits like Bo.

Training parents, RTC and post grad support in wrestling is potentially a bigger deal than the NIL $$.

100%. I think DT and CR are approaching this the right way. I love what they are focusing on to build this thing. I'm just talking about the broader perception among the wrestling world (and even some of our fans) who think we are throwing around Paycom money at recruits.

And that the money reported is false. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Yep let's not believe what he says let's believe VHS on the forums he has the inside scoop. 2.5 was offered by a few programs. The Iowa doubles every offer rumors that happen are hilarious. No one has texts or screenshots saying it's 5 million from anyone close to the situation. But keep acting like you're connected VHS. You also said you wrestled at Iowa and never did. I'm not sure why anyone believes you anymore

Corbster... you have no idea what I know.

Bo said the number is far less than what is being rumored. Let's just all go with that.

Real talk since it keeps getting brought up. You trolled the Iowa board by pretending to be a Hawkeye wrestler, so why wouldn’t you troll us with hunches and misinformation?

TBH I thought it was pretty hilarious. They’re so serious over there.

PSU guy commenting about an Iowa cat fight on a Cowboy forum. I guess Oklahoma State has arrived back on the scene!

most of the world brags about how much money they have and how much they spend.

not wrestling, though. wrestling people bend themselves backwards denying how much they spend.
there is alot more to this convo than just having money or not. There isn’t one piece of collegiate athletics that’s been helped by its fixation on money.

Until OSU is able to spend mega millions on wrestling NIL I will contend it is a bad thing. If/when we are able to, then I will change my tune to this is just the way things are now and you gotta play the game. Am I doing it right?

....plead virtue or price or tradition or much of other what....at the figures being mentioned maybe a wrester should win more than one NCAA weight per year?.........the RTC support from Chad was FIRST offered to OU earlier(declined) and it was intended to add a major central location for overall, national support of future Olympic and international wresting............finally OSU wrestlers receive no support from him or Paycom............he has donated more monies to his alma mater, Cental State over OSU and SOME went to their wrestling program..........best to all.............rs

What’s crazy is how Brands got Bo to be dishonest publicly about it.
100%! But like Willie said, in wrestling people want to deny the $$$. I’m telling you guys, the $ amount is ridiculous and yes Bo was asked to keep the money talk to a level where Iowa doesn’t get more heat for buying wrestlers.

So Chase you've seen the contract yourself or are you just calling Bo a liar based on rumors? Or let me guess you saw a screenshot saying it's a lot of $
Well whether he spoke on the Iowa numbers specifically or not... the offers between those 4 were not "comprable". And while you point out that there are no screen shots of the numbers there are screen shots of Bill saying it's a money driven decision and "life changing"

Not calling you a liar but can you provide those screenshots? I haven’t seen them floating around.

So life changing= 5 million we learn something new everyday I guess. Because the 2.5 that was offered isn't life changing? Hope everyone sees how we arrived at this 5 million #
