Early signing period for the '26 class starts today and runs through the 19th. Just FYI

If it makes you feel any better he’s been reposting a lot of OSU wrestling stuff his IG recently.
I know many here probably aren't aware of this but athletes no longer sign the national letter of intent on signing day . It's now a financial aid form that locks in the amount of aid and scholarship you will receive . You aren't technically at said school until you enroll in classes. And don't take this the wrong way I'm not saying people aren't coming im just informing people on what goes on now.
I think Rin has a ton of potential but I keep thinking his FS goals keep him from getting anywhere close to what he could be in Folkstyle. Going from training and competing in one style up until a month ago and going all in on a different style he's only been around a year or two and getting matches this weekend seems unlikely to me. Granted they threw him out against Ayala last year but IDK if thats because he was the best choice or because our other guys were banged up or struggling with the weight.He will be a good 133 2nd semester. Flip from Univ of Minnesota. 197lb kid who didn’t start wrestling until freshman year (ish) of HS after not making his HS football team. Still raw but with a lot of upside. He dominates lesser competition and of the times I’ve seen him lose, it’s because of a technical gaffe which he should clean up quickly in a room like ours.
I'm hearing you can exhale now. But HS NIL paid will need to be disclosed once enrolled and pass the clearinghouse. Im not sure if it was for a real business with return on investment or if it was just the collective paying him. This class of 2026 will be the test dummies for all of this.
