I just don't see Henson wanting to go 157 he's a 65kg.Man. Miller does NOT need to be at 157. He was gassing so bad at clarion.
everything depends on Henson's decision though.
I got it:
Ventresca
Seidel
Bassett
Gaj

U mean Spratley Raney Jax Vega Landon?Which will compete (lose to) Spratley, Jax, Vega, Swid, and Robideaux
I just don't see Henson wanting to go 157 he's a 65kg.
Yes but 70 isn't a weight in 2028. He's definitely going 65. If he's 157 that's a bad decision being a 65 in 2028. At 74 he's a bodyHe's been wrestling 70kg this FS season though. He's going to be like James Green if he makes it to 65. Just a complete shell of himself. Dude is a big *** 149
Hmm... I think he could do well at 74 honestly. Certainly better than being complete gassed at 65.Yes but 70 isn't a weight in 2028. He's definitely going 65. If he's 157 that's a bad decision being a 65 in 2028. At 74 he's a body
A body was probably a bit harshHmm... I think he could do well at 74 honestly. Certainly better than being complete gassed at 65.
6 Olympic Weights is so stupid. Wish we'd drop Greco and get 10/10 for Mens and Women's FS.
In 2027 they also have Carini coming in at 174. A while back I mentioned Carini is someone we should look at coming to Stillwater like Robideau and Vega. Carini is number 1 at 175 as a junior. I saw him win the Doc B and he is good.Man. Miller does NOT need to be at 157. He was gassing so bad at clarion.

Wonder if he grows into a 184 Burton into a 174 and Melvin a 165In 2027 they also have Carini coming in at 174 in 2027. Actually, I think you nailed the issue here. Swiderski. And the argument between "best team right now" or "best possible team in the future." This is a huge debate. We have no chance to win a team title this year but we are sending out the highest scoring roster possible. Is this the best move? Time will tell. The entire lineup apparently. Cuz Swiderski is a guaranteed champ 149, so everyone had to bump up.![]()
Competing in D1 wrestling at the wrong weight class doesn't happen often and definitely not for 1/2 the line up. When the coach gets paid 1 million he better have his athletes at the right weight class. And I believe he doesActually, I think you nailed the issue here. Swiderski. If y'all watch Facundo's matches and think he should be at 174 then there's really nothing to argue about.
If you’re referring to Facundo’s ability to get completely smushed on every leg attack he hits - sorry bub, that’s a facundo lower back strength issue.Actually, I think you nailed the issue here. Dee doesn't struggle on bottom as is. Being smaller will only hurt his top game.I dont think Dee makes 174 and not struggle on top/bottom. LR feels good at 157. Facundo feels apt for 174. Next year, can Jax stay at 133? If he doesnt, can he move to 141 and Vega to 149? Does Vega has the same advantage at 149 (His length) that he does at 141?
6/6. Perfect score. Great job, Chase.Jax is not small.
Ech is thick, but short. Vega is long and isn’t in a huge cut, but argue with the results.
Lando could make 49, but he’s dense and it might be counterproductive.
Facundo is a 65.
Ryder is a 74.
In addition, Dee is a 57.
Yeah. Get off our lawn!!2 Iowa fans commenting on OSU guys. And telling us how much each OSU guy is paid and who lied. Like we are supposed to believe you guys on OSU things?
Thank you, the caveat is…the lineup was built how it was for a reason.6/6. Perfect score. Great job, Chase.
Dee's never really had a "hard cut" for an extended period. 157 would def be a cut for him. I think it would be manageable, but cutting weight sucks. Makes it so that the sport is less enjoyable as a competitor. I think Landon would have an easier time getting to 149 than Dee would getting to 157. Close tho.Thank you, the caveat is…the lineup was built how it was for a reason.
Do I think Dee needs to go 57? Yeah, but I don’t know him well enough to know how he’d respond to that situation.
That cut for Landon would be tough for a full season.
The others, that was the slot they needed to be in.
I agree for the most part.Dee's never really had a "hard cut" for an extended period. 157 would def be a cut for him. I think it would be manageable, but cutting weight sucks. I have lots of thoughts and ideas on getting weight cutting out of wrestling.
Agree with you.I personally like the Iowa guys on the board. They seem to have more vigor and fight than the team they cheer for.
Our new recruit beat him at Reno in December. It was up a weight, but Ladd looked pretty goodIn 2027 they also have Carini coming in at 174. True but that 1 weight difference is 15 lbs. 175 to 190. I watched the match and it was 4 to 0 Holman with seconds left when Carini got a reversal and let Holman go and was in deep on a shot and seemed like he was very close to the tying takedown when time ran out. Ladd won in the finals by 1st period pin. Dotson of Poway got a quick takedown, Holman escaped, Holman slipped a headlock takedown attempt for 3 points and then put Dotson on his back for the pin. Holman looked good in these 2 matches. Our new recruit beat him at Reno in December. It was up a weight, but Ladd looked pretty good
