It gradually became obvious that tOSU would rather take its toys and go home, and that kind of submission to OU sends a strong signal that you need not look to find one likely playoff team. Sooners are in right now, the question is: can they keep themselves there.

I like their chances a lot, but the CCG worries me a little bit.

I am not ready to homer up just yet, lots of football yet to be played and OU has a history in yrs past of dropping one they should win. That said this was a great win and a shot in the arm for the program and the players. Riley got his first huge win and this will go a long way in giving a lot of newcomers confidence going forward. I hope Riley can keep them grounded, hungry and focused. The future is bright and I am proud of our Sooners. I was also glad to see Bob being one of their biggest fans tonight. People can say what they want about Bob but he is and always has been a class act and great representative of OU. Congrats Sooners and Coach Riley, job well done.

Great post!!

And nationwide respect is earned by results for seasons. Not an individual game here and there. OU still has a long season to go. What OU does from this point on goes more towards getting national respect than just this one game.

As long as we can stay healthy in the offensive line this team can go a long ways. This offensive line is one of the best ever at OU in my opinion. I am also very impressed with how the defensive backs have played the last two games. Hopefully we can keep this train rolling all season long.
