John Higgins headed ref crew that didn’t call a foul when Taz Sherman, who had 29 points, was smacked in the jaw by #8 Baylor that floored him. No foul called with Taz on floor and Baylor 5 on 4 against WVU. Taz went to the locker room for the rest of the game with a concussion.
Huggins was ejected in Big 12 quarterfinal game against Kansas after getting 2 technical fouls in quick succession by referee Doug Simmons. WVU was down 19-4, missed 16 of their first 17 shots when Taz Sherman, again, at involved. Taz complained he was hacked by his shot at the rim. Huggins backed him and got ejected.
Kipp Kissinger, a constant thorn in WVU’s side, was the ref involved in Texas Tech’s 78-65 victory over WVU in which the refs called 50 fouls, destroying continuity for both teams but fouling out FOUR Mountaineers and no Red Raiders.

Publicly reprimanded, fined $10,000 by Big 12 for complaining about refs. “Third such incident,” Big 12 said.
Bob was ejected for angrily protesting a no-call in the 77-69 loss to Kansas with WVU once ahead by 12 points. Kansas shot 35 free throws, WVU 2. Maybe Bob had a point. John Higgins, of course, was one of the refs who gave Bob a technical.
