Sounded a little whiny to me. Poor Huggins guys won't do what they are supposed to. Didn't Huggins say earlier in the season that this group of guys love to be coached and that they all have the right attitude? I'm sorry but Huggins seems to be pointing the finger a little to much at the players and not himself and the staff. Huggins gets paid a ton of money to coach but tonight WVU was out coached and out prepared. He needs to take a little bit more responsibility for this pitiful performance.

Not coaching tonight? He called timeouts. Pulled guys. Put in different rotations. Did everything he could. Players didn't execute.

I'm not sure what a coach could do in that situation. He's not allowed to go on the court and shoot the free throws for them. His coaching got them about 20 more shots than Texas and a good number of free throws, and his defense held them in the 50's. He can't do much more than that. I guess he could recruit better, which I thought he would. But he can't shoot the ball for them.

Right now, and I hate saying it, but Esa has been a bust. And he was pumped up as the biggest recruit Huggs has had since being at WVU. His shot is just not there. He gets rattled against pressure. The game is just too fast for him right now. And he has that freshman look to his face. Hopefully he progresses, but it doesn't appear as if it will be this season. We need him to replace Holton next year.

You couldn't be any more wrong. He tried everything. Anyone watching from the beginning could tell how lethargic the players were.

It was one game of poor effort and really poor shooting. Make 75% of your free throws and WVU wins. Texas didn't do anything amazing they just caught WVU on the right night. Hopefully this is a wakeup call to these players and how tough the Big 12 is. Move on and play your hearts out at Texas Tech.

Do you think Esa is getting too much playing time?

No. Although he starts, I'm willing to bet that Paige and Philip receive more PT than Esa. And that's how it should be. I hope nobody got what I was saying wrong. I think Esa is going to be very, very good. I was just hoping it would have been this year. It appears he will need to be "the man" next year.

A win against Texas Tech and we are back on track. A loss and it's a a potential situation.

Don't miss double digit free throws & we're 16-1, ranked No. 1, first place in the BXII and the top projected seed in the NCAAs.

While it's a tough remaining slate, still optimistic we're going to win our share just like last year.
