Hull or Porter? Who starts next year?

Probably too early, but I would consider moving Tyus to tight end. Not because I think that he won't do the job at RB but because this might turn out to be the position where he maxes out his physical talent. Plus it might get him on the field next year. GCG says LB but that might take awhile for him to develop.

Will be great to have two strong running backs next year.
Really good trio of RBs next year with Porter, Hull and Clair. Would be nice to get the QB and Oline improved so we can take advantage of the talent at that position.

Isn't Clair a graduate? Does he have an extra year because of the COVID rule? And here's hoping that Porter fully rehabs by then so we do have a pair of great RB's (to go with our "new and improved" OL). It's amazing to me, however, that Tyus has not been the runner we thought he would be but he's only a FR so perhaps next year his 230# will be more in tune with the program.

Tyus is not a TE. I think he can be an effective RB but if he were to move to any position it would be linebacker.

He’s not nearly big/tall enough to succeed playing tight end.

Clair always had two years of eligibility remaining, as he only played in four games for BGSU in both 2019 and 2020 so that counted as his redshirt year.

To answer the original question, it's going to be Porter unless he's not ready because of the injury (though he'll be over a year removed from it, so he should be ready). Porter is a really good back. No doubt Hull has been a nice surprise this year and played well, but it would shock me if Hull got more PT than Porter.

I'd rather pin my hopes on guys Mueller, Colemen, Gallagher (we can start feeling pretty good about him, I think), and perhaps the transfer portal for immediate help.

Don't think Coleman is a LB anymore. He's been warming up with the dline in pre-game for several weeks. He looks the part but obviously needs more time to develop.
