Need to win 4 out the last 6 conference games with or without Shavon Shields to make the NIT unless a win in the B1G BBT starts today. Huskers still could make NIT finishing with a .500 record

Ohio St

Purdue
@Northwestern

Also really hurts that Morrow is sidelined..... Nebraska is a 7 point favorite.

Should be a fun double hitter day UNO at 1:00 then driving to Lincoln with some buddies for the Husker game.

Have fun on the double header. I was hoping to do the same, but have too many kids games today.

Huskers look like the 1970s Baltimore Bullets today. Need Elvin Hayes to knock down some turnaround jumpers, and Wes Unseld must control the boards.

Huskers would be doubling them up if the refs would pull their heads out of their collective *** for a few seconds.

Huskers win 70-54. Another disappointing game from White. Only had 35 tonight.
He did miss a couple of shots. You could tell he was smelling 40 when we got up big. He was jacking up things from downtown. The freshmen looked pretty darned good today and even Hammond played pretty well.

Is Gill suppose to be as good of a shooter as White? We need all the shooters we can get next year with Sheilds gone. Watson will be a beast in due time (he's actually close already) and i hope Marrow and McVeigh keep getting better. If Miles can pull a decent big Center out of his *** or somewheres we could be a very good team (hell even if its a 7 foot defensive center).

I don't know a lot about him, but have heard he is more of a slasher type. I don't know how good of a shooter he is. Hopefully he uses the redshirt year to refine his skills.

I wonder if White will leave for the NBA after this year. He definitely has an NBA-caliber jump shot and may not have much to prove by staying.

I love White, but him declaring this year would be a huge mistake.

You may be right but I think he will be far more successful than Petteway and lots of people felt Petteway was wise to leave. His jump shot is a thing of beauty and he can hit it from long range. Although he isn't nearly as athletic, his jump shot shot looks very many much like that of a young Dominique Wilkins. I suppose the rest of the season will determine whether he stays or goes, but a couple more games like yesterday and I could see him leaving. Also, he is an "old" 22 in the one and done era.

White is superior to Petteway - no doubt. But also don't be confused, Petteway isn't on a NBA roster. White's position is also one of the toughest to break into the league. Unfortunately for him there are many 6'4-6'7 guys who can shoot the rock.
