Watching the Maryland and Illinois game and the difference between these two teams and the Huskers seems significant. Huskers are playing at a different level, much more defense, ball movement on offense, crisp and precise.

Really? Illinois scored 90 and held MD to 70

NU scored 76 and held UW to 66
Even the first half scores were almost identical.


And it seemed like a significant difference?

I hate to say it, but without Frager adding that spark and his ability to get to the rim, especially when shots aren't falling from 3, I think we fall to the 5th best team in the BIG. BUT that's why you play the game and I hope they prove me wrong!

At the 4:55 mark, Nebraska hit a 3 and were up 73 - 57. These were their stats for the last 5 minutes of the game:

Steals 1
Turnovers 2
Fouls 2
Rebounds 4
Shooting 0 - 4
Free Throws 3 - 4

They were sloppy and lazy as hell. Hoiberg eluded to some "things" that needed to be worked on. They won by 10 but Hoiberg has his team focusing on getting better. They will have the right mentality going to Minnesota.
