Wouldn't it be equally great if either Teddy or Turner got better and were really good tackles?I am hoping that Knaak is good enough to keep Teddy and Turner in backup depth roles.
If it can happen for a season without missing most of it due to injury, then sure I’m all for it.Wouldn't it be equally great if either Teddy or Turner got better and were really good tackles?
Rhule mentioned whoever loses LT battle could move to RT.Wouldn't it be equally great if either Teddy or Turner got better and were really good tackles?
Can you think of a player or players that were in the program for 5 or 6 years and had great SR seasons but prior to that weren’t? Serious question. Not meant to be a trollWouldn't it be equally great if either Teddy or Turner got better and were really good tackles?
Teddy was pretty good from the get go . Injuries have been terrible for him . He started as a true freshman in games and in the Michigan game before his injury he was actually handling Adrian Hutchinson fairly easily and didn’t require any help. TC I will agree on .Can you think of a player or players that were in the program for 5 or 6 years and had great SR seasons but prior to that weren’t? Serious question. Not meant to be a troll
There is no reason Teddy can’t compete as long as he is able to. Has there been a worse run of injuries for a player? Corcoran played out of position early in career because Austin and Frost didn’t have anyone else. After that injured off and on. The depth/talent difference in the OL room in 2021 compared to now is vast (other than Cam of course). Austin/Frost vs. Raiola/Rhule.Teddy was pretty good from the get go . No, I can't think of any.Can you think of a player or players that were in the program for 5 or 6 years and had great SR seasons but prior to that weren’t? Serious question. Not meant to be a troll
Wondering the same thing..Gotta have fun, I Guess. What am I watching lol
I'm only 35 but feeling pretty old and out of touch these daysWondering the same thing..Gotta have fun, I Guess.
And we have another solid freshman who could play if need be. The key is the O line. This likely says alot about RB, without actually saying a lot:
-Kwinton Ives is still out but hoping to come back this week
-Isaiah Mozee loves football and is a Coach’s kid
-Mehki Nelson has handled everything like a pro
This. The key is the line. Hopefully the right tackle position gets sorted out. That is the weakest position. If Teddy can stay healthy that would be huge. Don’t expect Corcoran to be ready. I met his girlfriend at a Husker bar party in Manhattan before the bowl game. She told me he had a complete tear of the hamstring. Showed me a pic of the massive bruise on his leg. Nasty injury. And anyone who has ever torn a muscle knows that at the point of the injury there will always be a weakness. And we have another solid freshman who could play if need be. The key is the O line.
can he complete a pass 10-40 yards down field with accuracy?
The team is better, but the league is better. That's interesting. Sherman has annoyed me in the past for various reasons, but one thing he's never been is a sunshine pumper. I'll take this as a pretty positive sign from a guy that sees multiple teams in person during the preseason.
In the limited reps we’ve seen since then, he appeared to be an effective run blocker, but not quick enough for pass pro. Which, given his size and the injuries, isn’t a real shocker.Teddy was pretty good from the get go . Injuries have been terrible for him . He started as a true freshman in games and in the Michigan game before his injury he was actually handling Adrian Hutchinson fairly easily and didn’t require any help. TC I will agree on .
Turner has been the most inept pass blocker I can remember. I wish nothing but the best for the guy. But when he’s in and a breakdown up front leads to a sack, nine times out of ten he’s standing there with hands on hips after letting some guy run past untouched. No, I can't think of any.
And I'm not saying Turner & Teddy deserve the starting spots, I have no idea. But if they do start, it's possible because they actually got better and are good.
Also, wasn't Turner a lot better in 2023 than his previous seasons? Teddy was solid 3 years ago, right? Before he kept getting injured. We'll see.
Yeah, sometimes it is just time for a guy to be done.Turner has been the most inept pass blocker I can remember. I wish nothing but the best for the guy. I'm too lazy to check AI, but Turner played 7 games in 2023, gave up 4 sacks (7 QB hits) in 149 pass attempts.Turner has been the most inept pass blocker I can remember.
