Not a bad list, but I'd move McGahee as the starter over Javin Wright, because I do not believe Jacob Bower or Javin Wright is better than McGahee and I want our best players out on the field.

I think Jeramiah Jones will be ahead of Quinn Clark for WR's

I think Carter Nelson will be over Haarberg

I think Pritchett will be the starting LT and Gotulla will be the RT.
McGahee is a jack, he doesn't play the same position as Wright.
Jones is pretty raw at WR.
Carter may be but I am not sure how much 12 they are going to run
possibly.

He was a true freshman last year. I wasn’t expecting to hear his name until next year. I’m sure he’s developing and building mass - hopefully next year ready to roll and battle.

...as bad as our o line has sucked, and as highly touted as he was, and why does every other program get kids like this on the field in this time frame??? Just seems weird, especially considering how much i read about how highly touted that line class was.

I think it’s a rarity for someone n their first two years to come in and play OL in the B1G and SEC. Proctor was an example and he was a 5-star for Bama. I think it’s a position that just takes time in most cases.

He was super highly touted, but came from a very small school and plays a position which takes the longest to develop/see the field.

In years past, he may have been forced to see the field before he was ready (like Jaimes, Corcoran, Prochazka). I would say him not being in the discussion as a redshirt freshman is more of a testament to our tackle depth than it is a knock against the kid.

I don’t think we’re used to having more than 2 or 3 upperclassmen tackle bodies on the roster. In the past we had to scramble and put Cole Conrad from center to RT because David Knevel went down and there was no one else. Now we have serviceable depth at the tackle position.

Every other program doesn’t. OL is the hardest position to play early especially at the P4 level.

Except MaGahee is a Jack linebacker, and Wright is a linebacker that can both play the run and cover tight ends. Since that's a different job, they are where they are on the depth chart.

He is a second year player. Seven guys on the Oline have starter's experience. The fact that we are not seriously talking about second year players on the Oline is a good thing.

...literally I DID. Hopefully you knew what I meant. Hahaha
You have to remember Also I believe he is in the middle of a position change. Started at Tackle now at Guard. Also brought up in this post was Brix came from a small school in. Iowa ( C-2 Nebraska) classification. It might be later this year before we hear his name mentioned. But if we don’t hear anything about him next spring than he probably won’t ever contribute much .

Yeah i get that...guess we'll see. Just found it strange...i mean, you wouldn't even know he's on the team if you weren't a Husker fan. Good luck to him, hope he kills it here

Didn’t we hear that Brix had pretty much only done run blocking in high school because of their scheme and that he basically had to learn pass protection from scratch? Or am I imagining that?
It’s a combination of That and a position change and honestly just coming from a small school. It’s just hard to go from small town competition to P4 especially at the OL position.

Not sold on either of them. Lenhardt flashed as a freshman, but faded last year. Nwaneri was a 5 Star and am hoping for big things, but big time wait and see mode because it doesn't seem like he is making a big jump yet.
That was the surprising thing with Cam. After the freshmen years he and Prince had, they should have excelled last year, but both were basically duds. Usually when you have a couple hosses inside like Ty and Nash and the attention they got, the outside should be very effective.

Butler took a lot of snaps from Lenhardt last year. Then consider they put James Williams in on pass situations, Lenhardt's production was bound to dip. His total tackles though were exactly the same as his freshman year.

2023 10 games 16 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks
2024 13 games 16 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks

I'll take the 2023 version.

Again Butler took a bunch of snaps in 2024 when he moved from Jack to DE. 2023 Williams played only 4 games redshirting, in 2024 he was in on every 3rd down passing situation and Lenhardt went to the bench.

I watch the games too. He had the same number of tackles, but more production.

In 2023 he played 258 snaps and in 2024 he played 233 snaps. 10 games played v. 13 games played.

Platooning aside, my point is we need him to have '23 type production.

Cam just needs to be Cam. A steady Eddy that makes the plays in front of him. Cam has some pass rush in him, but there are other players who are going to do most of that job.

The article makes clear that while Satt employed a single-mindedness and somewhat lack of adaptability to his offense, DH is structuring an offensive architecture that is more subtle and nuanced with an internal aggression for B1G defenses, unlike the shootout offenses of the B12. Where we as fans have to be patient is that DH's offense relies heavily on trust between Riola and his receivers. We're gonna soee some growing pains but the final outcome looks to be exciting. Good read.
