One more thing I would like to add about HVL... the games where she sat major minutes... we didn't suffer greatly. Other players and the coaching staff picked up the slack.
HVL made a lot of things easier. But our offensively philosophy also changed a bit too, whenever she sat (which was not often).

I say that to say that when she leaves, we won't be as awful as folks think we will be... until an Elite team exposes us. Was same with EE, DE, SS, AD, MHA leaving... In fact, some would argue that we became more diverse and better when certain players left...

Players come and go, the coach remains the same hopefully for many more years. We’ll be fine next season.

This is a somewhat embarrassment nationally when the "face of the program " goes into the portal before her Senior season. Women's basketball nation probably asking whats wrong there. It's just not a good look. 😕

I’ll wait and see where she ends up before I try to figure this out, maybe with so many other players on our team transferring out she saw a sinking ship. Maybe she liked playing close to her family or maybe another program offered her a better NIL deal. I do agree with you that it is not a good look for our program that she transferred out. She had everything a star player could want exposure, lots of playing time and an already good NIL deal. I think CJW is one of the best floor coaches out there but this team with all the transfers apparently had some issues. If he brings in the right transfers and puts a good team together and makes a run with them he’ll look like a basketball guru.

Her WNBA options are probably Very limited. She graduated-so I understand. Playing a final year of elsewhere is well within her rights. I was severely pissed initially; yet, transferring as a GT I am fine.

I agree. Having graduated (May) takes a little of the sting and embarrassment out.
