I definitely feel like he will eventually make his way into the starting lineup. I have been impressed with his shot blocking ability tho. Really does a great job on those weakside blocks from behind

Hyatt plays big. Uses his length and athleticism really really well.

Greene wants him to be our backup 5.

Hyatt should be starting over one of Caleb/Paul. He does every thing better than both of them.

I sit right behind the players and made a comment when Caleb was backing down a guy "here's the ball stopper" and got a look from one of the players. But that is true I think Caleb is too sticky with the ball and hurts our starting lineup

I like Hyatt too at wanted him to take minutes from Paul and Caleb and then I looked at the stat sheet for today and was surprised to see his shooting line was identical (i.e. poor) to Caleb’s (3-10) and only one make better than Paul’s (2-10). Still feel more comfortable with him in there.

Let’s not lose sight that Caleb was asked to guard #2. He is going to get a lot of minutes unless someone steps up and is capable of guarding a teams best perimeter player.

so far it is no one.
This. And the teams we’ve played so far stink. But that’s not that relevant to Hyatt’s PT so I’m not sure why everyone keeps focusing on him taking time from Caleb. I expect them to play a ton together. The Geo, Caleb, RHJ, Hyatt, Cliff line up figures to be a Pike defensive specialty in conference play when we need stops.

I don't think, although I don't know, if Hyatt could get tasked with the defending an opponenets best perimeter player. Hyatt has been beat off the dribble, as has Caleb, a bunch so far this year.

He made a nice a shot in the paint. He doesnt go after balls, doesnt help on defense, and quite frankly he looks lost on both ends.
Think you missed the sequenced when he dove on the floor and it was a jump ball. Also had a great rebound in traffic.
Look- considering the hype he has been disappointing thus far, but last night was a baby step forward for him. Let’s see what happens

What hype? Who was telling you that? You actually believed that?
Carino was one. If Agee is supossed to be Shaq Carter, I’d be interested to know his stats from his first few games in an RU uniform.
Look, the jury is still out here, on Agee and the team. Despite problems we are still 3-0. I’d like to see us throttle DePaul. Do that and everyone will feel better.

It's only game 3 and he clearly had some jitters in the first 2.

He is finding his way. That's why I think Pikiell left him in for a long stretch. He looked comfortable and a made a move into the lane that a Rutgers 5 has not made in 5+ years.

I think he's going to be our Yeboah. No they don't have the same makeup or shot selection and ability, but Yeboah was the glue as will Hyatt.
That was my initial thought based on body type, but as you said, they have completely different offensive skillsets.

Seeing his (Hyatt) shot blocking ability and our clear need for rim protection on this team, I can’t see Hyatt ever getting that assignment (to stick with a perimeter player). That’s why I think Caleb and Hyatt will play together a ton.
