Looks like a solid tackle (potential targeting) and fumble. Anyone know who it is.

Looks like a training poster for calling targeting. Leading with the crown of the head, head to head contact - only thing he didn't do was launch himself.

15 yards and ejection

I'm pretty sure a penalty would get called on that play, and it highlights something that annoys the hell out of me about the targeting penalty.

If I'm 6'6, and I try to tackle a dude who is 6'0, more times than not, I'm going to slam some part of my upper body into that dudes head.

It almost magnifies the hypocrisy of "violence in football."

I was more concerned with how in the hell any offensive lineman could whiff so bad that the defender met the ball carrier so far back in the backfield..ugh

Genius move by the O line - be so bad at blocking that our RB getting blown up leads to a D line ejectment. Do that enough times and the opposing team will be forced to line up guys the size of cam meredith to play d line.

A "whiff" like that usually means somebody completely fubarred an assignment. It would've been a back up offensive linemen on that play... at least.

What I want to know is who was the genius in the video department who decided that a textbook example of targeting should make it unto a hype video.

I would be interested to see if that player was reprimanded or not for targeting. Practice like you play I guess in the Scott Frost school of we dont care about getting ejected.

#4 Myles Farmer. Dude is a turnover machine (only guy with two picks last year in a single game - coming in as a BACKUP?). More credit to him then against Ervin.

Whiff... missed assignment.....either way I stand by my statement that its more concerning than the targeting debate.. i played oline...a dlineman 1st 2nd or 3rd string should never be able to meet the rb at the handoff..
Jordan riley isnt a starter so it was more than likely backup on back up

Did you play offensive line in the Power 5, where you have 150 different plays, multiple formations, different terminology for packages, and dozens of audibles?

I'm glad it happened in practice. Maybe the left guard, or the center on the play will learn from their assignment.

I would be a lot more concerned if Riley completely blew up a linemen in front of him on that play. It would mean either Riley is Suh (which he's not) or the linemen shouldn't be playing at Nebraska.

This is the same dude that was easily manhandled by Jurgens in the Spring Game. Jurgens ate his lunch and dominated Jordan Riley. Unless things have changed with his energy and aggressiveness I was thinking the ultimate looks like Tarzan plays like Jane.

Farmer got blocked in the video and was a non factor.

Watch the video again.

agree.. it picked up at the very end, but most of that practice was equivalent to a half *** jumping jack
You are an idiot. That practice “hype” video was filmed by a media member, who was allowed to watch the first 10 minutes of practice. All those plays are ran before the team even does jumping jacks. As soon as they kick out the media, they do real warm ups and then run actually plays.

It was impossible to know what the blocking assignment was on that play. For all we know, the QB should have faked the handoff. Good play on Riley regardless.

Frost said today they had b1g officials at practice yesterday

the result? too many flags on the field

the fix? "I hope they get it. I think they do," Frost said

did you see the big hit and fumble by #22 yesterday? that might have been from a scrimmage, but I suspect most fans aren't distinguishing from which media is filming what. In fact, you should probably learn to distinguish between your team's board and someone else's board. Never understood why a fan of one team spends so much time on another teams board... are you like a failed OSU board poster that has to find another home?

The video of that fumble was released by the Huskers, not some news reporter. And the comment about the half asses jumping jack is what I was referencing. Two different videos!
