Hypothetical: NFL cap and roster optimization

I’ve long wondered about the answer to this question. If you ranked every player (say the starters, but it likely won’t matter) at every position from 1-32, if you were to build a roster from the same-ranked player at each position, how far down the ranks would you need to go to meet the salary cap? Given the relatively sharp drop in man positions’ salary curves, would it be like 7? 8?

Then with that roster, what would be your likelihood of making the playoffs? Making the Big Game? Winning it all?
