Anyone live in the Cadiz area know if they are finally going to repair the road right and repave it? It has been awful for years and all they do is patch it. It is so bad it is hard on cars taking the beating of driving it. Thanks for any info, especially if they are going to do it right.

My uncle works for the roads dep’t. I just texted him and he said no. He said that people there don’t pay their taxes so they can’t afford it. There’s even talk about annexing Cadiz to Missouri in exchange for a Budweiser factory.

I doubt it. That road and the parkway between Hoptown and Madisonville are the worst.

It's terrible, go through there regularly going to and from Clarksville. Still in the process of moving. Pennyrile isn't much better though it's been under construction for awhile now. Been 1 lane seemingly forever now.

I know a guy whose uncle works for the road dep’t. It’s a definite no. Apparently people won’t pay their taxes. Maybe you will luck out and get a Budweiser factory

Pennyrile has been constantly under construction for over 20 years.

Appreciate the responses, how do people get away with not paying taxes? The road is like sinking in the ground in the right lane as if they didn't get a base under the pavement when they built it. Last year they took backhoes and dug out a bunch of places where it had fell through and poured it full of concrete.

There is a small group of confederate sympathizers who are conscientiously objectIng to the union making them pay taxes. It’s a small enough group, but the federal and state government have just chosen to not fight them on it because then there would be a precedent set and there is ede faecam that covers their legal rights. It’s really a mess.

I can back you up on that. I recently read something about it on the internet. Also heard there may be some sort of tax loophole involved.
