now to build support and draw attention to the race, so he can then drop out and throw all his support behind another candidate. I think he's using nights like tonight to see who he'll get behind.

As I told my wife, he can't make money in the White House, and were he to help someone get elected he'll have that President in his back pocket for at least the next 4 years. No way this is a serious run for the office.

Trump is all about Trump. That should be so obvious to everyone. He is angry and he knows he has a platform. He knows he really doesn't want to hold office but he does want to tap into the anger of the country since it will increase his celebrity which improves his brand and it feeds his overblown ego.

The guy is not going to run as a third party candidate. He enjoys the attention of putting himself out there as a possibility. He wants to be viewed as the guy on the white horse like last night he said if it wasn't for him, immigration wouldn't even be discussed. ********. Immigration has been a hot button for 30 years and would be a major topic. He will drop out at some point and make a statement his presence made the GOP party stronger with his presence. And with this episode, he will be viewed more seriously (why I have no idea) during the next presidency of whoever and the media will run to him for his opinion on everything. And don't be surprised if some of his positions flip-flop again in the future.

I think a number of us have said this all along. Last night was good evidence that he lacks essential skills to win a bid to the WH and he's known that all along. More importantly, he could care less about the WH but as you alluded, he has another goal in mind. In the mean time, he's doing a good job of drawing heat away from the real contenders, which is a good tactic to keep flames off Jeb et al. for a while.
