I've been reading this thread and its a mirror of what we had here for the last 5 years.

I just have trouble working up sympathy for Cal - his arrogance is biting him in the butt right now and his faux humility is no longer believable.
His biggest problem was he was supposed to prove the Kentucky naysayers wrong by going to Arkansas, having all this NIL money and building a team. Instead, he essentially pressed the easy button, brought in whatever players he could take with him from Kentucky - and no offense but Wagner and Big Z aren't going to be game changers. Thiero is much improved but Damion Collins showed him he isn't *that* improved.
Cal had a chance to clean slate - go out and do what Pope did essentially, bring in a top staff, hit the transfer portal and bring in the players, but that would have been too much work. And the players he did bring in, he is doing his "we'll out talent you for the win" which is been a trainwreck of coaching philosophy since 2019,
and Arkansas is now 0-4. We'll call that the "Arkansas Effect"
