I cant stand Lonzo Ball or his loud mouth, pompous *** for a dad. In all of his interviews, Lonzo seems like a little spoiled, arrogant brat. I hope UK shuts his dad up and wipes that ugly smirk off of Lonzo's face.......then, loses their next game lol

Well, I didn't expect to see this on here, but I'll take it.
Last team I wanted to see the cats face was UCLA, they are one of the best outside shooting teams I've seen in a long time.
I actually like Lonzo, seems to be a good kid, but man, his dad is a piece of crap.
There's a story out about him not allowing his boys to go see their mother when she was in the hospital having a life threatening procedure done (don't recall what it was) because it might hurt their brand and merchandise sales.
I really hope that isn't true, if it is, that will come back to bite him one day, those kids won't forget that.
How can a college kid have merchandise for sale?

The dad is trying to sell his made up "BBB" brand. Basically pumping up the 3 Ball brothers.
They did a show on him a couple weeks ago and he had all the shirts later out on a table touting the brand.

I will pull for UCLA to lose AFTER they beat UK.

Why don't you let us know how you really feel? I was a big UL fan against Michigan but that is for something that goes beyond sporting events.

I'm the kind of guy that would rather see UK win than UofL lose. And if UK is not playing, it does not bother me to see UofL win, I still respect what Rick did for out program and like to see Kentucky schools do well in March. Now, I enjoy seeing the meltdown on message boards like The Yum on Scout (The Hall is a more reasonable place for discussion).
My life is not consumed with hate for people based on a sporting event. I understand the rivalry and its fun to root against the other guy, but I never understand the real hate towards other fan bases based on just happening by chance to like another team.
I save my sports hate for guys like Sandusky/Bernie Fine and JoPa and Boeheim for harboring those pedophiles. I root against abusers of women like Big Ben and Ray Rice. I know it's fun, but I think at the end of the day we lose perspective of the real "bad guys" in this world.

I root for all Kentucky BB teams, as long as they are not playing my Cats. But then, I'm a transplant -- apparently I don't possess the Hatfields vs. McCoys gene that the natives are born with.

If you took my comment as an insult, I apologize -- it was certainly not intended as such. I was simply poking fun at the over-the-top rivalry (that I don't quite understand) between fans of in-state KY basketball teams. The native Kentuckians that I have had the privilege of meeting in the 29 years that I have lived here are among the nicest people I have known. I'm originally from Canada, but I guess you already figured that out from my username, eh? I never watched a minute of basketball until I moved here. Basketball has the best elements of hockey, but without the unnecessary violence.
No way I could ever support UofK sports in any way, shape, or form. The university is not the issue. The university is a fine university. The university grounds are really nice.
The mere fact the UofK basketball program was built on a foundation of corruption will never allow me to support them. Ever. College basketball ended for me Sunday afternoon. I won't pull for any team named UofK. I would rather eat broken glass.
I just dont see it.....UCLA has the advantage at the 4 and 5 because they are so versatile there. Bam doesnt guard the perimeter well so if there is a switch up top, Leaf can drain a 3 and so can Welsh. They are also very lethal jump shooters, 15fters. Gabriel/more so Willis doesnt guard very well.
Guards are pretty much the same but I think UCLA has the 3pt advantage there by a bit.
Thing is, all 5 can light up the 3. And they've played a little better defense.
This isnt a bash on UK, just dont think they can do it.

What you are not considering is the arena will be more than 3/4 bluenecks making it just like a home game. It's not a knock, it's just the facts.
Bam isnt going to come out to Lonzo Ball 3pt territory on a switch. No team does.
I hope not anyway. I think if we can hold Leaf and that other Honk in check we win. They killed us last game and the other honk killed us last year. He is automatic with that 15ft jumper
I will never pull for uk in any sport. It's because of 90% of their fan base. As Cue said the university is not the issue. I have 15 teams left to pull for and I'm quite sure I won't be disappointed.

I've cheered for UofL a couple times this year, against Dook and a couple others. But I don't know why @ThroughBlue ot any other cat fan would expect the same in return?? They're an in state rival. It's to be expected! It made my day when them and Dook lost. It would have made their day for us to have lost. They hate us, we hate them, stop trying to get sympathy support from them. We've got bigger things to worry about this week other than UL support
