His early team will need that same kind of passionate support from the fanbase during games. I think we will oblige.
People forget that we can accept losing when the heart is right, especially early.
BBN has rallied around EVERY coach early. The issue comes when you overstay your "welcome" and don't know when to pass the baton.
Didn’t they quit playing Mony Mony because of the “dropping of the girl” incident? Even that was on the table today!
Or if you’re an alcoholic making ignorant comments and being a jerk to the public/fans.
But if you embrace this place it will embrace you back, especially if the team plays with heart and is a fun style of play…
Ricky P’s year 1 was 14-14….different time and situation but that turned out alright. Pope will get a couple years to rebrand and get momentum.
Definitely won the press conference. It is clear that BBN as a whole is rallying behind him and even said so himself. With Pitino to lean on for coaching advice, the backing of former players and his drive to win as one of us. He has it all to win big here. BBN makes every new coach feel like the President is coming to town with that awesome introduction crowding the streets and showing up in mid-April packing Rupp Arena for a press conference. Can't wait for BBM!
