Even before, to be honest. They knew he was too close to the "enemy".
PK responding to the question from the press indicating they would certainly give T Smith full consideration.... that was precious.

He may beat them all - and be the last man standing. But that is what it would take (to be the last man standing).
I expect they would hire Bobby Petrino before they would T Smith. (Seriously)
