I seen two pretty good teams play a good game.. A couple of TO's for both sides, but an interesting and hard hitting game... Georgia is the second team that said that we are hard nosed team... That is a compliment, because they just got finished playing UF... We have UF at home next year, and we will be better, and they will be better.. We have UL at home next year, and UT also... These should all be good games for the fans...

I think we'll give UT and UL all they want at their house... UF, UT and Alabama are three good road games to get us ready to play UL... I especially have next years UL game at CWS marked down...

Nice post. I like our running game on the road. I think Gran calls a pretty similar game this week. Might see a little less Wildcat?Execution will tell for the most part, I think. It will be a great day if our kids demonstrate the resilience to bounce back with the improbable road W in Knoxville.

I keep thinking about the game and 3 things decided the game.

Juices fumble, Badet's fumble/INT whatever you want to call it, and Mosier going out. As good as Landon looked earlier in the year, he got abused by UGA when he came in the game. Those three things decided the outcome of the game, IMO.

Holding call on Conrad on the field goal was another one. Took 3 points off the board.

If he doesn't hold, that might have been 6 the other way.
I didn't see the replay. Why was the man coming so free? Who got beat? Move the "if" proposition to that player, then. If it was an alignment problem, then move it to the coaches. We made a field goal and didn't get to keep the points and there's a reason. There is no question that taking those points away belongs on the short list of reasons why we lost.....that's my point. If Conrad is not at fault, then so be it. I'm not down on him, just the situation.

I kind of wish I hadn't deleted that game as soon as it was over.... I could answer that question...

I also think the cushion our dbs gave the UGA receivers on that last drive was a mistake. Why not press and make a true freshman QB make some tough throws?

I agree with you on that... He didn't look to be a very good passer.... It was the ground game that was killing us, not the pass... I think Stoops wants to keep the clock running, and will shut down the pass and hope his guys can stop the run... We just don't have the defense, right now, that can play that way, but I think we will have it before long...

That's my biggest gripe with the defense. I haven't seen them really press all year. I haven't watched any of Stoops other defenses on youtube to know if that's just his style or something else. Something just doesn't add up, I mean the man coached some hall of fame caliber DB's.
The only UGA receiver I wouldn't have pressed would be McKenzie or whatever the little dudes name is. Man that kid is fast!

I still don't agree with that - UGA went three and out and we used a short field to put up 6. We may have come out ahead, because I don't know if we would have gone the length of the field to score.

He isn't really fast, he is just sudden, decent speed maybe mid 4.5, but his short shuttle is off the charts quick.

But as the OP said, it was a good game between 2 pretty evenly matched teams who could play 10 times and probably split them. Someone else said the East was a pretty level division, no one, not even UF is real good and anyone of us could beat any of the rest on any given Saturday. We have improved during the year, defensively we return 20 of the top 22 including 10 starters, offensively we lose 3 OL and the 2 backs, so 6 returners, but all receivers and TEs come back and the 2 OGs. No idea who will end up playing OT, could be 2 true frosh because we don't have anyone else.

I don't see UF being better next year. I know quite a few UF fans that will tell you next year will be rough for them and they'll fire their coach. Lose a ton off the defense, and the offense is still sputtering along. And word from them is his recruiting has been bad, particularly on both lines.

Perhaps that would be our defense is very young with veterans out of the picture for a variety of reasons. Since Mark took over the defense, this group have become as good as they can be. They will terrorize the SEC in 2017 and 2018.
