It’s not Ohio State but the eyeball test saw improvement in the 84-53 rout of Austin Peay.

Ball-handling, passes into the paint or near the basket, were much better. And the team didn’t let up despite the laughably large lead. That’s important to keep the pedal to the metal. Huggins is great at yanking guys who don’t do that.

Huggins played 13 guys and all but Macke scored, despite several attempts by the other 4 on the floor to give him a shot at it. Macke seems extremely short and lightweight to be on a Power 5 floor, but Huggins must see something in him that he can develop.

The 50-25 rebounding advantage was good to see, even though it wasn’t against Ohio State.

WVU won by 31 points. Arkansas beat Peay by 8, Vanderbilt by 18, Tulsa by 7, Western Kentucky by 22.

And WVU has only one loss, to St. John’s. And March Madness is a long way off.

Nicholls and Youngstown will be 2 more chances for Huggins Heroes to polish their game for the awesome Buckeyes in Cleveland. I have had my tickets for weeks.

For now, on to Nicholls at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 14 in WVU Coliseum and Youngstown at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 21!

Ohio State will roll us. Need to be better than even tonight's game. Prepare yourself for 3 straight losses just in case.

Don't forget about the "Huggins Factor," Allen. As usual, he will have WVU more than ready to play vs. Ohio State. Having said this, it's duly noted that the frustrated WVU fan living in Ohio has predicted a WVU win over Ohio State.

Quite possible. Few teams would go 3-0 against Ohio State, Kansas and Oklahoma State. That reminds me of the October football gauntlet that WVU faced in football against Texas, Iowa State, Oklahoma and Baylor. Top 10 teams would have trouble against those four.

There is no gauntlet in the Big12 old timer. Bowls prove that every yr haha.

Ohio State in Ohio will be a great challenge for WVU. Hope they have the same results as the last two meetings

On the bright side if WVU wins Buck will disappear. If WVU loses Buck will post with his normal crap.

The results will be the same, if WVU happens to have its second Final Four team in the last 60 years, as the last time it had its first (second all-time).

Yep. If WVU has a Final Four team this season, then it will be in 2020, which is 61 years since the first one.

Watched OSU vs UNC earlier this Year. Their pressure on D was better than The Johnny ‘s. And they shot pretty good. It will take a very good game for us to take em down.

Plus we have no point guard that can handle a press.

If we were playing o$u in Cleveland right now, we would lose by 25 plus, with a tight officiating crew 35 plus. And I believe we are 2 even teams. Thank god its not today

Your weird obsession with Ohio State continues. No, the teams aren't even matched, but the Huggin$ factor weighs heavily in your favor, as Huggin$ (like you) cares about Ohio State much more than Ohio State cares about Huggin$.

For those who missed it, here's the WVU-OSU score.
Hint: Buckeyes won't be #2 after this game. Even with whistle-happy refs sending Ohio State to the foul line more often than to the 3's line. 67-59, WVU. Dominated rebounding, field goals, 3's, forced turnovers. OSU got to make free throws, ad naseum.

The amazing thing about the game was that Ohio State looked horrible more than WVU looked great. Of course, each team's fans won't admit it.
