Shouldn't surprise you, Pitino does it every year up there. Mid conference season they look terrible, then all of the sudden they come to life and go on a run. They are not a F4 team, but they're a team I'd like to avoid if possible.

They can get away with it against some teams, but against others (UK) not having Jones would result in 20+ point loss.

I gotta hand it to Terry Rozier, I don't think anybody has done more to try to be like Dwyane Wade than he has.

Yeah, getting rid of a complete dumbass does wonders for team morale, on and off the court.

Just curious on why you'd want to avoid them. They still only have 3 maybe 4 scorers. There's no way they could score enough to beat UK or even come close. I think we'd win easily. Prob by 15 points at least. I'm not really even looking at it from a "UK fan" perspective, I just don't think it's realistic and was wondering what would specifically worry you about that game.

The ONLY thing that would worry people about that game is that their jerseys say Louisville. Put any other team's name on them and it's a massive mismatch (on paper at least) and one that would have UK a double-digit favorite in Vegas.

Indeed. It sometimes works when it comes to human calculus. UL should win this game so no biggie in my mind. Besides look who's losing! Oops, well maybe. Tomorrow will be more of a real test for either.

If anything, that name on their jerseys should make you more comfortable. Remember, they're 1-7 against our current coach. One. And. Seven.

We beat them at their place, playing their game (officiated the way they wanted) and we still handled them. Our offense is running better since then, Towns is a handful now and they are minus a scorer and a good defender, no matter how much of a clown he was. No worries here. Maybe it's because I'm somewhat familiar with them, but if there is any team out there I am not worried about, it's Louisville.

Right there with you. We are just a terrible match-up for them and I wouldn't be worried at all if they are in our bracket (which I'm sure they will be). And this is coming from someone who lives in Louisville and would have to hear all about them beating UK if they did win (they won't if it happens). In all honesty I think they won't make it past the first weekend of the tourney. The way their team is built they are an upset waiting to happen.

No super worried, but would like to avoid them. They play tremendous defense, it's a rivalry game, we've already beaten them once this year. and with their defense if they make some shots then they could pose a threat to about anyone. I'm not saying we'd be the underdog, but it's simply a street fight every time we play them.

Yep, as long as every year doesn't include 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2010 and 2011. So every year really means every other year, on average.

But I agree, rather not face them - talk about being due.....

I'm a Cubs fan. Being "due" because you haven't won in a long time means exactly jack ****.

Best 3 man team in basketball. And they literally only have 3 good players. But they get it done.

It completely amazes me though, how they can all avoid fouls and play great defense. Those 3 players hardly ever get into foul trouble.

I hate Pitino but he is built for March.

UL will be tied with Va. Tech for ACC tournament wins in 2015. Going to be a long off season for the cards....

I get enjoyment out of the fact that prior to conference play, they were raving about how good they were and how they were top 4 in the country, final four caliber, flashes of 2013 here, and here they are. Average team on the ropes against another average team.

Don't worry guys, they are still the best team in the country in their own minds. This was like a home game for UNC. On a neutral court they would beat Kentucky by at least 15.

I was sure wrong. Not like that never happens.

One thing for sure. They destoryed the myth that Pitino does not use the One and Done sytem.

In my mind there was no winner in this game, only a loser. UL is still likely a 4 seed and UNC most certainly now a 5. We may still get them. I hope so! Like the Cub fan said (and who can't admire a Cub fan?) history doesn't matter. UK is the far better team. That does.

They could both be a 4 seed and UK would still win.

But Lunardi says that UNC was a 5 before today but could move up.

Not sure how the hell UL would be a 4 seed but probably is.

Well, that should be a wrap for lil' brother. Might not even make it out of the first game in the NCAAT. The win over UVA was simple to understand - all hyped up to play a top contender for the national title, last game at home, they got amped, hit some shots and got lucky at the end, and I do mean REALLY lucky with that last shot.

Reality comes back to bite them in the *** very next game against a really soft UNC*** team.

Gonna' be fun watching them slowly twist in the wind until they play their NCAAT game, and the complete meltdown if they lose it !

If there are two ACC teams as 1 seeds then UK will 100% get one of the two as its 4/5 seed.

Snider made several 3s against UVA which is really why they won. Today he was a bricklayer which is really his game.

LPT - Lexington Play Toy, they are what I thought they were...Awful. Got beat to a team by double digits that UK beat by 14. Then they will say, "we only got beat because we play good teams" Implying UK couldn't play with that type team. although they beat them like a drum
